Hi people. I'm not sure if this is the proper forum to post it, I think it is the most correct, so forgive me if this doesn't go here.
So, I have completed Mass Effect last week (GREAT game), and now I want to play ME2. I've seen the Collector's Edition, and I would really like to buy it. Does anyone know if the Collector's Armor and weapon codes have an expiration date? Because I bought Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition and the DLC's code had to be reedemed before july 31st, or either they would expire. Collector's Edition was launched almost a year ago, maybe the codes have already expired, and I don't want to pay for the game and then find out that the codes are useless. Also, I have heard that Cerberus Network stopped working (or something like that), does that mean that I will not be able to download aditional content?
Thank you

Just checked my copy, and the slip of paper that has the Collector Armour and Weapon code on it does not have any form of expiry date on it.
That said, the flipside of the paper has the Cerberus Network code on it, and that claims to expire on Jan 1, 2011. I think this can be ignored, as new copies of ME2 still come with a working CN code with them.

It's not being updated at the moment, and the first message displayed when logging into in the game's opening menu says something about them "being on hiatus" and back just before ME3's launch (I paraphrase).  It still works, although the DLC I've installed/played was down as a separate download from social.bioware.com/user_entitlements.php .  Once you download the actual files, you run them (mine have been .exe files) to install them, then they show up in the game just fine.  Have only done 3 so far...(Normandy Crash Site, Cerberus Armor, and Blood Dragon Armor).

I recently bought my ME2 game a couple of months ago, and nowhere is the Cerberus Network code mentioned. It was a digital download through EADM (now known as Origin) and I was able to connect to the Cerberus Network by just putting in my email address in the game, as well as my EADM/Origin password. Granted, the first few times I tried, the password wasn't "allowed", because it had a few special characters in it (like @ * % !, etc), but the game didn't mention any of that. Origin let me update my password to having special characters in it, but in the actual game when trying to log into Cerberus Network, it just kept saying my password was incorrect. Also, I had to shorten my password, because Origin let me use a 10 character password, but the game only allowed me to put in about 7 or 8 characters (it would just stop allowing character entry, but gave NO numerical limit to the length of the password). Very frustrating.

The point to all this: I have no Cerberus Network code, but am able to access the Cerberus Network just fine (although I have to retype my email address and password every single time I play). Also, watch your password length and content (not too long, and NO special characters).

The bit about "being on hiatus" refers to the Cerberus News Network, not the Cerberus Network itself.
CerbNN is merely the source for in-game "news articles" on new races discovered, riots on various planets, and which Galactic celebutard has bonked the Consort lately.

How do I get into the Network then?  I thought I was in it already.

The name is a bit misleading, isnt it? This should clear it up.

Baramon, I checked your entitlements on our end and you have the Cerberus Network entitlement. You also have some DLC entitlements that come with the Cerberus Network.

Are you able to access Zaeed, the Arc Projector, Normandy Crash Site, or the Firewalker Pack? If so, you should be all set as you must have the Cerberus Network on your account to utilize these pieces of DLC.
