A question about using the Lothering level up glitch, and how this affects the "power of blood" for rogues, and the enhancers gained from Circle Tower Quest.

I am using the lothering "traps are a girl's best friend" infinite level up glitch.

I just have a question.

I am a human noble rogue, and I have the "power of blood" talent tree gained from Warden's keep DLC.

I notice that out of 4 slots, only two of them are filled. How are the rest filled? Is this from leveling up? I don't understand.

I plan to use the glitch until I am all the way to level 25.

But what happens if I am already level 25 before I even do the circle tower (broken circle) questline, and pick up the magic enhancing talent tree (is it even a talent tree)

Are there tomes usable for filling up that tree? Since  I won't be leveling up again...

Thanks so much.

- There are but two talents in the POB tree.
- There is no additional "magic enhancing talent tree" acquired during Broken Circle. There is the opportunity to acquire numerous attribute points, however... though in your situation that may be of little interest.
- There are a limited number of tomes (for either talents, skills or attributes) to be had from various sources; thusly: dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Tomes_%28Origins%29

Not looking at the wiki and just testing my memory here, I'm thinking there are 4 possible skill ups for martial classes and 6 possible skill ups for mage.

Edit:

Damn't, Way Off!

Any Warden can only gain two powers from the Power of Blood potion that is consumed at Warden's Keep: One sustained ability, and one activated ability.  This tree will not continue to fill as you level.

I plan to use the glitch until I am all the way to level 25.

If you're speaking about the possible attribute points that the PC can pick up in the Fade, yes, you can still aquire those if you're level twenty-five, however, like "tsm" said, this won't make that much of a difference to a maxxed player.  There is no additional tree obtained from the Broken Circle quest.  The additional trees are (for rogues) Duelist, Assassin, Ranger, and Bard.  Bard is from Leliana.  Assassin is from Zevran.  Duelist is from Isabella at the Pearl in Denerim.  I think Ranger is automatically in your game.

For warriors, the additional trees are Reaver, Templar, Champion, and Berserker.  Reaver is obtained by siding with the cultists in the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest.  Templar is obtained from Alistair.  Champion is from healing Arl Earmon and accepting the reward OR from Loghain.  Berserker is from Oghren.

For mages, the additional trees are Spirit Healer, Blood Mage, Shapeshifter, and Arcane Warrior.  Spirit Healer is from Wynne.  Blood Mage is from the Desire Demon inside of Connor.  You can enter the Fade with your mage and strike a deal with the demon to teach you blood magic in exchange for its parasitic life.  Shapeshifter is from Morrigan.  Arcane Warrior is from a phylactery found in the Ruined Temple during the Nature of the Beast quest.

Are there tomes usable for filling up that tree? Since  I won't be leveling up again...

Yes, the Warden can use tomes purchased from merchants (ranging from 12g to 22g depending on what they give) to fill out these trees, or any tree, as well as the points obtained from leveling up.

Tomes of the Mortal Vessel award 1-3 attribute points.  Tomes of Skill and Sundry award 1 skill point.  Tomes of Arcane Talent (or something similar) award 1 talent point to a mage.  Tomes of Combat Technique (or something similar) award 1 talent point to a warrior or rogue.

As for skill points, Mages and Warriors gain a skill point every 3 levels for a possible 8 skills.  Rogues, on the other hand, gain a skill point every 2 levels for a possible 12 skills.

Hope this answered any questions you had!

On a side note, using the glitch is fine and your gameplay will not be affected.  However, if you are playing on a higher difficulty setting than "casual", the beginning gameplay will seem tough.  You are higher level and, therefore, your foes will be higher level, as well.  Until you obtain good gear, you will find that you have your work cut out for you.

There is a solution to this, however.  You can do the quests at Soldier's Peak and obtain the Warden Commander Armor, the Wintersbreath staff, and the Ancient Crossbow BEFORE Lothering is destroyed.  You can then return to Lothering, glitch to 25, go back to Soldier's Peak, sell your gear to Mikhail, and buy it back at its new, upgraded, tier.  You will then have armor and weapons to match your level.

Happy gaming!Image IPB
