***minor spoilers warning***

Are there any blackstone irregulars quests which REQUIRE you to return to the blackstone
irregulars in Lothering, in order to complete? Or can you just go to any
blackstone irregulars outpost?

Someone on the bioware
forums told me that there was at least one blackstone quest which
required you to complete and return to dane's refuge in Lothering, and
told
me to make sure to do that BEFORE Lothering is destroyed.
When, exactly
IS Lothering destroyed by the way? Immediately after completing just ONE
treaty quest?
Also, for alistair, being a sword and shield tank, which
spec should I choose for him, champion, or berserker?

You have to talk to one person in Lothering as part of a Irregulars quest before it is destroyed. You can't go back later to talk to him.

You don't have to complete that quest IN Lothering. You can't, actually because the people are in different places. You just have to get that one person before Lothering is destroyed.

As the others have said, you just have to speak to the one guy in the Lothering chantry who's involved with the quest to do that one part of the quest. The quest can't actually be finished until late in the game, as one of the people you have to speak to is inaccessible until you can enter the elven alienage in denerim.

I usually like my tanks to have the champion spec, though you can't really go wrong with any of the warrior specs. I've seen people suggest reaver, templar, berserker-they all have their good points.
