An interesting and well deservred absence of DAII mentioned as a GOTY pick.

So far? Nothing I've played so far screamed my GOTY unless the year ended today. If that were the case, InFamous2 would have edged out DA2 (not joking. year started slow. but Also to spite the previous poster).

I'm hoping Deus Ex:HR will top the list when it comes out. And neatly occupy the time before what I expect my real GOTY titles wil be. Either Skyrim or Saint's Row:The Third.

If nothing else, SR:3 will win the award for best pre-order bonus pack of the year.

The only game with GOTY-quality that came this year that I've actually finished is Portal 2, so I vote for that

For me, I think Skyrim will take the title at the end of the year.

I don't think there's been one yet, to be honest. I did really enjoy Portal 2 - both single player and co-op. Although I'm not sure that would be a good GOTY pick.

I would be quite pleased if Uncharted 3 or Skyrim got the honor.

The Witcher 2. This game is probably one of the non-linear games I have ever ever played.

And Also, Portal 2, Good level design, Very funny, Voice acting is done very well Probably one of the best this year IMO.

I think the only game I've actually played to its finish that was released this year has been DA:2. I've got Shogun installed but haven't gotten into it yet, too busy playing ME:2 and FO:NV still.

I've heard so many good things about the Witcher that I'd really like to give it a shot, but I found the first so utterly underwhelming that I'm not sure I'd feel much differently about the second.

I am also one of the few who did not enjoy TW2. I usually love roleplaying games and I'm practically a fanatic. But I think TW2 was overhyped.

Not sure at all what my GOTY would be. The best games I played this year were released earlier: Rockband 3 (the keyboard is a lot of fun) and Fallout: NV.

It depends on what you like. The writing's the real draw - it's somewhere between Planescape: Torment and Mass Effect 2 in quality. The usual comparison people make is Game of Thrones. The combat's a little like Deus Ex - i.e., slightly clunky but tactically flexible and offering multiple solutions to a particular fight (although it's nowhere near Deus Ex in terms of non-violent solutions to enemies.) I'd advise watching a let's play - this one is really good and see what you think.

I forgot about Shogun 2. But I don't have the full game. Thought the demo was fun, but don't have the money for a 50 USD game right now.

Skyrim, even if it turns out to be buggy as hell, just going by the footage I've seen so far and the information revealed in interviews.

lol, it is diff than MW and MW2, just similar. But either way Oblivion was like crack for me so it will be Skyrim.
