Ok so what is the behaviour of these 2 effects in nwn 2?
In nwn 1 it were: blindness: 50% miss chance, -4 attqack roll for attacking "invisible" enemy, flat footed and unable target from far away. Most effects were removed by blind fight feat + true seeing combination. "Blindness" induced by darkness didnt have -4 attack penalty when you have blind fight while general darkness caused by things like word of faith or sunburst had -4 ab even with blind fight. Also in nwn 1 there were interesting things like the following: if you have blind fight and you detect a hider (that tries to melee backstab) you via listen skill, you are not flat - footed for him. But if you detect a hider via listen and have blind fight but he tries to RANGED backstab you you are flat-footed for him. So renged sneakers kind of owned detector builds which used listen as main detect. Ofc successful spot means you arent flat-footed.
In nwn 2 i tested the -4 attack roll in blindness without true seeing but there is a problem: my char often just refuses to attack an enemy while blind. How it works in nwn2?
Also: i dont have blind fight nor i had true seeing at that moment and my char seemingly didnt have -4 ab while fighting in the darkness. Not sure about miss chance part. I got darkness mod installed with spell fixes found on nwvault. also i have 1.23 version of the game.
So how darkness and blindness work in nwn2? I heard darkness gives concealment instead of miss chance (it was fixed in the spell fix mod im playing according to the readme).
Blindness and darkness in nwn 2.
