I have played the Mass Effect 2 demo (haven't gotten around to getting it, and probably won't for a while), however I just found out that there is no romance between Jane (Female Shepard) and Miranda. That is sorta stupid, the reason I would pick a female over a male in an RPG is for the lesbian action (LOL), I mean I did it in Fable 3... but anyway does anyone know if there will be a romance between Jane and Miranda.B)

Problem solved

OR even better !

Just watch some girl on girl porn if you're so desperate for the "lesbian action".
Seriously dude playing the game primarily for the minute long dry humping scene is just sad and a waste of money.

If that's the case, why would she blow Femshep off and offer Mshep casual sex?

Because there is no s/s relationships in either ME1 or 2.  That's why.

Liara, Shai'ira, Kelly and [eventually] Shiala.

Well I suppose we'll just have to wait till the game to see who's right and wrong, if only because Bioware's being the most tight-lipped when it comes to Miranda.

On a sidenote, alot people say Jack should be a bi option. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Jack say to Femshep that she's "not a girl's club" or something? I just don't feel like making a new playthrough to be sure.

Girls club always meant, to me anyway, that she wasn't into the whole "painting each others toe nails" and slumber parties.

Or gossip.  I never took the "girls club" as not liking women in a sexual sense.

If that's the case, why would she blow Femshep off and offer Mshep casual sex?

Because there is no s/s relationships in either ME1 or 2.  That's why.

Now that right there is a lie. There's Kelly, Samara, Liara, and if Mordin intended to try human, would try either gender Shep.

Kelly nor Samara are true romances and no one will ever convince me that being with an asari is a s/s relationship for a femShep. Nice try though.

Oh come on, the asari are female and the whole mono-gendered thing is no excuse. Most people, even the species in the ME universe, consider them female. And on Kelly, her's is the closest thing to a real romance in the game besides Jack.

Well the lack of s/s romance options is your own fault then.

Wow, really?

Really?

You do realize that asari have babies, right? They don't split like amoebas to reproduce. That means they're FEMALE. And FemShep is also female. So there are two females in a relationship. How is that not s/s?

Seriously, 'splain that one to me.

There is no indication that she was ever interested in other women. If Bioware makes her a lesbian that will seem like blatant fan-service to appease the foaming lunatics on this forum. Keep her straight.

This my dear is the future. Where apparently women dating suspiciously female-like aliens is considered straight. Have at it.

OK FFTL Calm down! :P

We all know the Asari are female and that a relationship with Femshep is a lesbian one.

However the TGAC  (The Gay Agenda Council) has declared until such a time as Bioware acknowledges their BS about the Femshep/Liara relationship not being homosexual then in public we are to act as if it does not count.  Especially since if Liara isn't female then every MShep/Liara relationship is by definition genderqueer at the very least!  The one escape clause for this is once Bioware has included both fully realized and non-BS/denied F/F and M/M in the game then we shall drop the charade, which can only happen after 3-6-2012

Carry on! :police:

Like the kind of fanservice with Garrus and Tali?

Srsly i can't believe i'm using this argument again it's beaten to death. But the fact that nobody seems to be bothered by Mass Effect having actual romance with other species and no same-sex romance is pretty jarring

I'm personally quite comfortable with an action being perceived as such by folk incapable of discussing it without using the words "fan service" or "foaming lunatics".

I'm kind of a jerk that way

I strongly object to labelling such a relationship as "s/s" since that label (in its current use) is only used within a species. Calling a human/non-human relationship "s/s" is at best meaningless and at worst maliciously manipulative (since the reader will almost surely apply attributes exclusively based on human s/s relationships to the human/asari pairing).

Your proof-by-picture: Triangle ABC looks isosceles, therefore... Matrix algebra looks like real algebra, therefore matrices form a field [insert contradiction symbol here]

Ahhh, fan service, non-s/s nature of a romance with asari, Dragon Age references. This thread takes me back
