You do realize that asari have babies, right? They don't split like amoebas to reproduce. That means they're FEMALE. And FemShep is also female. So there are two females in a relationship. How is that not s/s?

I strongly object to labelling such a relationship as "s/s" since that label (in its current use) is only used within a species. Calling a human/non-human relationship "s/s" is at best meaningless and at worst maliciously manipulative (since the reader will almost surely apply attributes exclusively based on human s/s relationships to the human/asari pairing).

Your proof-by-picture: Triangle ABC looks isosceles, therefore... Matrix algebra looks like real algebra, therefore matrices form a field [insert contradiction symbol here]

Hate to sound like I'm correcting you, but a human/non-human relationship would still have S/S if both species were the same gender. Homosexuality by definition is an attraction to the same gender. Not to the same species of the same gender. And if we can't apply the same logic for cross species, then the rest of the non-human relationships become purely nonsensical. This makes Liara, Tali, Garrus, and Thane romances complete nonsense because they should be able to date both genders of Sheperd then. That's far too many relationships for such a conclusion to be drawn. It's 2/3 of FemShep's romances (barring Kelly)) from ME2, and 1/2 of hers from ME1. Meaning that there would still be a problem with favortism for FemShep being able to express her sexuality from being Homosexual (Kelly, even if you don't get an achievement, you don't have to be with anyone else so it's still an expression of sexual preferences), pansexual, asexual, or heterosexual. MaleShep would still be limited to heterosexual, pansexual and asexual. So there's still a problem here.

As for the second half. It literally makes no sense. What IsaacShep said is more comparable to this: a square is an asari. A rectangle is the body of a human female. The square might not adhere to all the features of a rectangle, but it contains all the features to still be considered one. Thus, a straight human female, a person that dislikes rectangles, would have no reason to associate with a square, because it's still a rectangle.

The more you know.

Nah, see, bisexual actually means the character hates the opposite sex.  Also, bisexuals are highly promiscuous, announce their preferred gender in the first through eighth conversation with any person they meet, and they have cooties.

Who needs Wikipedia when you have the BSN???

Who would you prefer to screw if they were real, Miranda or Jack? It's Miranda everytime, so who would you want to see a f/f scene with, of course it's Miranda, and the fans like myself and others deserve to get what we want

Homosexuality by definition is an attraction to the same gender.

True, but it is usually only applied to intra-species pairings and not inter-species pairings (which are usually referred to as "weird" when humans are involved). Whilst it is true that both fem!Shep and Liara are biologically female I'd think that the fact that they are a *different* species would be little bit more important (which is why I'd label that as xenosexual).

Your analogy assumes that asari are a subset of humans, which is clearly silly (this is why proof by picture is so popular, btw - you can prove almost anything that way). More importantly, you're ignoring the canonical fact that *everybody* likes the asari - unless, of course, you want to argue that the elcor also look exactly like the asari.

I agree, I'm so sick of the gay agenda hijacking the LIs in ME3. Liara made since, but Kaidan, Ashley, Miranda? The way things are going there will not be a single straigt romance in ME3.

First of all, are you serious?
Secondly, Casey said himself not EVERY LI will be bi, besides, it's an option to be gay. Don't want to, don't be.

Very serious.
idc, as soon as another character is announced the s/s fans will jump on the opportunity to push for ANOTHER s/s romance until BioWare caves in.
And I want NOTHING of the sort in ME3, or in my face everytime I go to a new topic.

Most of them want the DA2 "solution" which was absolute garbage. Every LI being "Shepard-sexual" is pure stupidity. Maybe they think it's great if everybody is bisexual to meet their demands, but it's a load of crap for the rest of us or people who want well-defined characters.

Oh and look at their sigs, they clearly are the type who want to shove their "interests" in everybody elses face.

I can't even take any romance in DA2 seriously. And i love how people are saying that squadmate must say that he is straight or he isn't interested to proove that he is not bi, when most of charachters are already established.
Makes me wonder if i can even take this site seriously since s/s romance is the most popular topic, people care more about bisexual love then the actual game, which is sad and pathetic.

Not true. Actually spend some time with same-sex supporters and you'll realize that most of us argue against the "DA2 solution," as you call it. While most of us don't reall yhave a problem with the DA2 romances being bisexual (because four bisexuals out of nine party members isn't really that unusual) but we do realize that asking for all nine romances in Mass Effect would be daunting. So the statement that "most of [us] want the DA2 'solution'" just isn't true, that's just you forcing an unkind assumption on our group.

Which doesn't mean much, as they are clearly capable of reproducing with one another. The fact that they aren't the same species means very, very little here. As a lion and a tiger are not the same species, and yet, both are capable of breeding with one another. So if a male lion and a male tiger were to engage sexually with one another, it'd still be a form of homosexuality. Regardless of species. Xenosexual isn't even a word. And if such were the case, it makes even less sense that there are even "gender" barriers for the alien characters to begin with.

On appearance, they very well could be. As that was what IsaacShep was going for. One could consider human female traits to be their elements, and Asari definitely share the same traits as a human female. As the definition of a subset merely requires them to have some similar elements. Not all of them. And for the "everyone likes the Asari" line sounds like a gross exaggeration in the same levels as the "no one can resist the dwarf" from Dragon Age. You'd be fighting a losing battle to argue that no one ever speaks in hyperbole in the Mass Effect universe.

Don't see you complaining about straight guys shoving their interests in, for example, women's faces. Such as you 'manly man' group lol.

Really? Are you some sort of "heterophobe" now? The only way it would be remotely comparable was if my sig said "I am going to bang every woman I see in ME3."

sadly it's not Dragon Age yet

I don't want people creepily hitting on me like Anders though. Even more importantly, I don't want to sound like a complete ass by turning characters down like I did with Anders and Merrill. So yeah, I hope ME isn't like DA, I hope they do it better. ;)

It's confusing because with the exception of relationship dialogue being omitted, she still had the same mannerisms whether you played a male Shepard or a female Shepard. But her body language tells me something different than her actual behavior and the info we got about her.

I hate to be "that" guy, but I actually do think Miranda is hetero. To the very least, outside of her attraction to ManShep, her Shadow Broker dossier seemed to imply she had an interest in giving birth to her own child.

But that's a pretty subject.
