I haven't played NWN2 for over a year and wanted to get back into one of my characters in particular. The problem is that the character got hit with an inactivity purge and I have to start again. I have a new computer and no longer have access to my old CBC files so I can't remember exactly how she was built. The biggest problem is that i am fairly certain that I posted the complete build on the old Guild but that's now gone...

I spent some time working in CBC and came up with the following, but it doesn't feel right. The Skills in particular are awkward, and I'm positive that I had been able to squeeze more out of things (I also went for a different Skill somewhere too, but I'm unsure of what it was).

So, have a look at this and tell me where you think I have gone wrong.

Wtf? Copy/Paste worked perfectly on the old forums with CBC...

One thing I am not sure of is the class spread. The levels for each class are correct, I remember that much, but where they fall isn't clear. I remember that I had to get the Int bonus from RDD and HIPS, ASAP but I can't remember how things went after that.

Ahh, look at that. Just posting it here I can see that I put points into Charisma when I should have put them in Wisdom for a higher Will Save.

You might want to try this site:
http://nwn2db.com/index.php

for your character building purposes. It's really convenient (and mostly accurate).

Heh. Clearly you've never used the CBC.

In fact I did try it at some point. It's usefull, sure. And back in the day it was perhaps the best resource.

Still it's nowhere near as intuitive, user-friendly or nicely looking as http://nwn2db.com/index.php

I dont understand why a character has to be 'built' what happened to playing the game and doing what serves your character best at the time of level-up? Having the whole thing figured out in advance is like playing the same module no matter what or where it came from or who built it or when.

In games with complex mechanics and rich character building options it's half the fun, at least for some. Or more.

If you want a PrC, you'll have to plan anyway. For some, at least.

Planning is not what I meant. If you know how every level will be spent regardless of what a specific module is designed for or why the plot has a certain twist, then it just seems a bit too structured and too predetermined to plan all the way to level 30 before even playing the game. Just my opinion :]
