Hello. I recently paid 800 mspoints to change my gamertag on xbox.
Soon after, I acquired a collector's edition of Mass Effect 2. I wish to use the armor code, but I fear that if I do, it won't work for me because my gamertag is different than it was when I linked it to my Bioware profile.

Sounds like you'll have to log into your EA account and do some fiddling.
If memory serves you'll have to add a Persona; in your case I believe you'll need to just add your renamed Gamertag onto your EA account and things should be fine. Oh, and set it to default and you'll probably need to delete the old one as well.

Be aware that EA have changed the accounts since the above posts to Origin, and Origin sounds rather user unfriendly. It's a lot harder, if at all possible, to do; and you may end up having to contact EA support.
With the seemingly automatic log-ins now though, perhaps you won't need to make any changes; but just be aware that it may not be so simple now.
