Thereare plenty of optional features Bioware could waste time and money on, what makes this one special?

None really. Just an alternate ending that would be pointless if Shepard lives (since the game continues and you still have missions, so unless the ending is like ME2 that nobody acknowledges what happens it really makes no point) or dies.

If that were true, then why did Ashley/Kaidan say that she/he had something special with Shephard on Horizon?

Besides, we can dream can't we?  I want my Shephard to be with Garrus forever.  If marriage is optional, let it be so.  If you don't want marriage, then skip the option.  Problem solved.  And what have we learned?  It's just a game.

i have romanced every character in the series, it should be an option to marry them, it's called a RPG for a reason, just let everyone have their own option, i would enjoy watching Shepard marrying Ashley or even Miranda, it's your choice and if Bioware include it, you would be able to skip it or either chose it. it's the choice's which matter, let them decide if it is important.

Yeah u probably want to get married before the final battle. U can have the actual party once u win.

That would be gr8, however it won't work since most of the ME2 crew will only make a guest appearance and it might not be enough 2 keep developing a working relationship. Besides there's still a chance that the one character u do want 2 marry might not even be in ME3. Or am I missing something?

Assuming survival, all squaddies from previous games are going to be in ME3 in some capacity. Only members from the original Normandy and James Vega are known 'permanent' squaddies, but if there is a rotational basis, it's not unreasonable for all other potential LIs to be a playable squad member, at least temporarily. You'll probably be able to stay in relatively constant contact with them as well.


I don't know how it will work for the 'new' LI, but who knows.

Valentia X brings up a good point that 'new' LI shouldn't really have the option that established LI might have.

It would seem a little weird to say the least knowing someone for a few months and then getting married... then again Shepard is a celebrity now so it might be in character to do it...I'm conflicted lol

I don't see why your love interest wouldn't be a squad mate...Devs did say your two romances would be fighting over you.

While my inner romantic loves the occasional fairytale ending,I'd love for there to be some sort of sacrafice ingame if certain conditions were met/choices were made.Could be a tear-jerker.

I think a marriage should run more along the lines of Princess Bride than Pirates of the Caribbean, with Shep as the Dread Pirate Roberts. Not sold on this image yet? Imagine Garrus as Buttercup.
