Instead of marriage, why not the Asari version of 'marriage'? Will be interesting to see Liara propose to Shepard with an Asari type of marriage or bonding or whatever it is they have.

I wanted to say no to marriage because it didn't seem to fit Shepard's character but if Meryl Silverburgh can get married than why not Shepard?

The only ones I could see Shepard possibly marrying in ME3, in a quick ass military ceremony conducted by Anderson or Hackett is the Virmire Survivor or Tali/Garrus.

Let's say....what if in the end of Mass Effect 3 Shepard realizes,that he can't stop reapers ? And here comes Shepard's last moment of life:
Shepard moves into the Shepardbunker,located on Earth.In this underground complex containing nearly thirty rooms on two separate floors, Shepard held daily briefings with his amid reports of the unstoppable Reapers advance into Earth. He issued frantic orders to defend Earth with armies that were already wiped out or were making a hasty retreat to surrender to the Reapers.
During a three hour military conference in the bunker, Shepard let loose a hysterical, shrieking denunciation of the Army and the 'universal treason, corruption, lies and failures' of all those who had deserted him. The end had come, Shepard exclaimed, his plan was a failure and now there was nothing left for him to do but stay on Earth and fight to the very end.Shepard concludes, that death would be a release for him after the recent betrayal of his oldest friends and supporters.
Around midnight on April 28th, Shepard married Liara/or Tali/or Ashley/or Kaidan. The wedding service was held in Shepard’s private sitting room. Shepard's wife wore a black silk dress for the occasion. After the service, the newly married couple received the congratulations of generals and others in the bunker’s conference room. From here they went to Shepard’s sitting room for breakfast with champagne.
At post-marriage celebration, Shepard talked mostly of the past and of happier times. However, he admitted to his beloved woman that he knew the war was lost .He added that he would never allow himself to be taken prisoner by the Reapers but intended to shoot himself.
On April 30th, Shepard gave very clear instructions to his personal adjunct, Joker Monroe, that both his and his wife’s body should be burned. After lunch, both Shepard and Liara Shepard/Tali Shepard/Ashley Shepard (as she wanted to be called) met his inner circle in the ante-room chamber of the bunker. Here Shepard said his farewells.
On April 30,less than a day after Shepard and his love interest did get married-Shepard and his wife committed suicide. John Shepard shot himself in the head in his bunker on Earth, moments after Lira/Tali/Ashley, his wife of just one day, killed herself by ingesting cyanide.
Urdnot Wrex, described in a interview : “John Shepard sat on the right side of the sofa. His upper body was leaning slightly to the side, with the head slumping down. His forehead and face were very white, and a trickle of blood was flowing down. I saw Shepard's wife next to Shepard on the sofa. Her eyes were closed. There was no movement. She had poisoned herself, and appeared to be sleeping.”

This. I, personally, would take the option to propose marriage to my love interest in a second; but I don't think by any means that this is the choice everyone should have to take.
Don't get me wrong; I had no idea this sort of thing was even being considered, and am pretty excited to think it may happen. But I know a lot of people won't be down with it, and that's okay, too.
