I have tried 6 times to install my brand new copy of this game, but my computer cannot install past the packages/core/data/anims.erf. I have a nice machine a I7 core, plenty of free Hard disk space (240gb) and 4 gb of ram, with a 1 gb video card. I have windows 7 64-bit ultimate eddition. i used my extra content unlock, thinking the install would work the first time, so will i get the bonus content if the game installs?

Thanks ahead of time

What version of the game do you have (Steam, EA-Origins, disk etc)?

Some people have reported issues with some disk drives, particularly read/write drives, having difficulty reading the disk. You can install the EA digital version of the game from the Origins download manager (http://store.origin..../ThemeID.718200) by installing Origin, logging in using your forum ID and password which is also your EA login information, and entering your CD key in the download manager (drop down menu on the top right-->select redeem code). The game will appear as available for download under the "My Games" tab. You can do this for any EA PC game from the last several years.

I am also having problems - I installed the disk tonight, and it appears to work fine, but there is no onscreen cursor. It appeared vaguely so I could start the game, but when it comes to selecting an avatar there is nothing. I tried tab key, cursor keys etc but nothing works, cannot think what else to do - does this game work with a joypad?

Games cannot be played on systems that do anything strange to the pointer, including trails, colors, any of several animations, all are incompatible with most games. The PC game does not have any native acceptance of console controllers.

What should I do to remedy it then? I have tried changing the mouse settings but no luck so far.

I have set the mouse back to default and now have a cursor, thanks. Never had this issue with a game before.
