I just watched one of the trailers for ME3, and the game looks absolutely amazing and I cannot wait... but, there are giant four legged purple robots with lasers in their heads walking around earth's streets killing people. I'm sorry but the second I saw this the word 'scarab' burned across my brain. This is the EXACT same as Halo 2. They were four legged purple robots with lasers on their heads... you can't just take Covenant aliens and dump them into mass-effect... you just can't, its wrong. Come on, the amount of time and money this has they have to do better than replicating an old series that's next game is 'going back to it's roots'. You'll be playing one game, and you'll have Master Chief hopping round Scarabs, then you'll go on Mass Effect and have Shepard jumping round Scarabs...

I believe reapers have more then four legs also they don't look violet to me. In addition to that the scarabs were so easy to kill lol.

That's just stupid. Scarabs in Halo aren't even close being similiar to Reapers.
That's like saying that Scarabs riped off Tripods from War of The Worlds.

But weren't those reapers similar / the same as the Sovereign, which already was made in a certain way in ME1? Why would they change them for ME3?

They look like Sovereign.

You're trying too hard.  If it looked the "EXACT" same, I'm sure bungie would be pursuing a law suit.  However it's not the exact same.  Well, maybe to you it does, but you could be suffering from some condition that doesn't let you differentiate between the two.

To the rest of us, it's not the "EXACT" same, and there's plenty of difference between reapers and the scarab type vehicles in Halo.

-Scarab is a ground tank / troop carrier.

-Scarab can't go to space.

-Scarab is not a machine-organic thinking being. It's just a vehicle.

-Last time I checked, scarabs were purple and they had only four legs. The reapers are greyish-black and have more than four legs (6 or 8, I can't remember now). Check the end of ME2 and you'lll see they have more than four legs.
