Ash is soldier
What is Vega , will he be straight up combat/soldier or will he be the new vanguard of the group.
Does anybody know , has it been released and I missed it , can anyone shed some light for me.

Ash is optional, Vega will be pure soldier and Krogan/Tank replacement
Kaidan, is also optional, new female human lead will most likely be some sort of Sentinel (just like Miranda).
At least two new aliens will likely fill out any other neccessary abilities you might lack after that.

@Babli what rendition of a sci-fi Soldier would YOU have made? I'm quite curious. Because when I hear soldier, I don't think of a person like Kaidan, he was always an engineer type to me.

This reminds me of when Bioware introduced some of the new ME2 characters, like Grunt or Jack, and whoever else that got people mad because they were judging them on appearance only. Then it turns out that most, if not all their characters are deep and complex individuals, which may not appeal to some, but aren't what they first expected

Well you wouldn't want him to be too unassuming, that would be boring and people might not take him out as a squaddie. 

On another point, I don't get what the whole thing is about the way he looks, some of the people here are being very very ridiculous.    If you just met someone would you tell them, "Dude go get a haircut or I don't like the size of your arms or your chest?"

Seriously folks, the obsessing over Vega has really reached new mountain peaks of nuttery.  Even when people didn't know anything about him there were LI and support threads.  WEIRD.    And now that they have a picture and a tiny bit of info on this guy they're ready to go over the edge of a cliff.

First, I wasnt comparing Kaidan and James. Second, there are more types of soldiers than just dudebro american types. I know its hard concept to grasp when everything we see in gaming industry nowadays are just these types...but are you seriously trying to tell me that its impossible to create something different? I dont buy that.

And third, I dont really care, I wont use him in game.

I was planning to complain that we were getting a new human squadmate when we have too many already, then I realized that VS was the only other human squadmate. So I'm less upset. I'd still rather have one of my old squaddies from ME1 or 2 back, but it could be worse. I'm not too big a fan of his appearance, but I'll hold my tongue until I see his personality.

i bet bioware likes some of the threads on here. ive seen quite a few topics about "things that dont make sense" and im sure bioware apreciates being in the know. i would assume this very forum is a valuable resource for bioware to use in making its games.
