Yeah, I hate to nitpick, but that's seriously the only thing that really bothers me. Anything else is just personal preference and entirely insignificant.

Overall, I think he has potential. As just about every single poster has said, I hope he's an interesting guy--serious when needed, but fun (and sarcastic? ) when relaxed.

Perfect. Nice and subtle. I liked what SaberBloodwork posted (closed the gap between nose and mouth), as well--perhaps a combination of the two would be even better?

What I like best about Vega - is we've seen him in casual gear AND armour.

I also like the idea of having ANOTHER Alliance Soldier outside of Ashley on the ship. The Normandy in ME2 felt too much like a rag tag mercenary group with a few Cerberus people as wallpaper.

Having the Normandy under the Alliance - with two alliance squad mates makes me feel all giddy.


I think he's going to be a great character from an interaction stand point - having him on missions, he's probably going to ask a lot of questions about what's going on, what's what, which will provide some great squad banter as the rest of the crew explains the intricacies to him.

BioWare (imo) are altogether too fond of *look up my nose* nostrils and I think that is the only issue I have.... (with BioWare, not Vega)
Vega's look is OK, I think I would like to get to know his personality before deciding if I like him, though he still needs a haircut
He might be shallow, but we don't know that and there is a lot of irony in assuming that because of his looks................

I have no problem with Vega's look, and I'm assuming this is his ship board attire as we've already seen in him in armor twice now.

Yeah he's a bit "beefy", but so what? I'm okay with  the "super" physiques so long as there is equal representation in both the guys and gals. And I don't consider Vega's build too absurd given that he's suppose to be the guy who makes use of a large sniper rifle, the Widow, that essentially ordinary strength folks can't use.

His face is a bit "baby-looking" I guess I would say. But not really a big deal in comparison to Elvis Kaidan among others present in the series before.

Subjective issue... I prefer the other one, that one is worse and he looks like he has a bad smell under his nose, lol

Pretty much this. If someone's tip of the nose is very high up (like Vega's), people get a full circular view of his/her nostrils, which pretty much comes off as a pig-like/snout appearance.

To be honest, he looks like the archetype of a person present in so many different space faring games- the grizzled space marine. He was present in Doom, Halo, and is now coming to ME3!

with that much experience he'll be incredibly powerful . Shep will be pleased.

Would you honestly be saying the same thing if a female character was introduced who had features that you consider unattractive?  Why can't we have equal opportunity eye candy?

I honestly don't really find James Vega hideous at the moment, but he doesn't look interesting either.  Zaeed comes to mind as a character who didn't look like a male model, but did look pretty cool.

yes.. I don't find Jack attractive at all because I don't like her tatoos but I like that she is the poor kid who is the way she is because of her childhood...

the same goes with Asari... I just don't find them attractive because they DO NOT HAVE HAIR... it is really weird..

Something about Vega rubs me the wrong way and I can't put my finger on it. Ah well I'll never take him on missions anyway so I don't care. He can stay on the ship with all the other people I don't take on missions e.g. Joker and EDI.

 I hope he is voiced by Nathan Fillion. I love his work in Castle, Firefly, and the Halo series.
