Is this for real? Who the f*ck is this meat head?

I don't think it looks that bad. If anything, it's about time we get a human who isn't using the same animation skeleton as every other human in the game.

+1, very true. It's not like he's unrealistically Gears of War muscley, and it adds diversity the sorts of characters we see trotting around.

Ok all folly wishing about a brucie clone put aside (But I wants it bioware)

I do seriously wish that we get a human soldier that actually has a mouth on him instead of the annoying PC so-deliberatly-inoffensive-it's-plain-annoying that is kaidan and jacob.

I want to see hot-headedness and temper, I want smacktalking and cockyness, I want male innuendo with heavy undertones of warriorbonds and bromance. And I want it all to be as coarse languaged as possible

Why are people crying "Steroids" all of the sudden. There are plenty ways for humans to get that muscled without the use of steroids, one of them being NOT sitting on a couch playing a video game (Crazy, I know, right?)

You obviously know nothing about bodybuilding and what is naturally possible and what is not.

That physique is plausible in real life without steroids if you're dieting right. And I'm sure the future has a lot of cool supps if you're trying to bulk. Especially for a military man.

Just goes to show how Bioware is using Male Characters as sex objects. he's totally Jacobfied. I bet that's his armor too since I haven't seen him in anything else to contradict that statement terrible protection. and his hair is impractical to wear inder a helmet which would raise his HUD so that it's inaccurate. You digust me for ruining Characters Bioware!!!!!

/sarcasm.

Serious thought. While he does remind me of Jacob (probably works out with him) I do wonder what his build is, hopefully something with Tech powers like an infiltrator.Image IPB

Is that so?

His build is borderline attainable, of course we can't tell what his bf% is but the lower the less likely he is natural. Given that it is a computer game, it 's pretty hard to tell.

I'm not going to get into a "no, you're wrong" back and forth with you. Let me just say this. Gene Therapy and Gravity Training aside, the human body is very similar to putty, and has a remarkable ability to adapt, and evolve to compensate new environments. His body's proportions aren't even that out of wack at all. If he was something like Gears of War bulky all around, I could say, Maybe, but he's not.

Why don't you try an experiment. Every time you play a game, and there's a loading screen, do 20 pushups. Do a before and after picture after 2 years.

I don't even think he needs to have male cliche innuendo. He just simply needs to have a life. He needs to have his own opinions, and he needs to react like a real person and not just be joe-blow average that always walks out with a salut. I hope there are times where he argues with Shepard. I want more of that kind of interaction

I have been lifting for over 6 years; I have ****ty genes and there are plenty of people with better genes, sure he might have great ones, but generally people have a distorted idea about what is natural and what is not or what is possible and what is not...

I knew guys who were more ripped than this in the military, one guy I knew in particular had a full length mirror where he used to flex every evening, which is kind of annoying when you share rooms with 5 other guys.

I think generally people have a distorted idea about what constitues actual strength. Most have the misconception that the larger the muscles you have, the stronger you are, in most cases, it is the inverse. Muscle and skeletal structure are heavy pillars to determine strength, and as mentioned by many others and us as well, a military man using (or any human in the far future) using gene therapy isn't so far outside the sphere of credibility.

It'd be great if he had a personality so completely different from what we expect (typical American marine/jock). My bet is that he's an Argentinian tennis player who's retired due to injury and has gone on to teach science to grade schoolers. Then enlisted I guess. It'd make him a lot more interesting than he looks now.

I'm not sure your age or your weight but wouldn't intensive sport/weight training during intergral stages of development (puberty...) give him a much stockier build? I mean obviously if he was 130 lbs when he was past puberty wouldn't have these results after completing one tour of duty but if his life was consisting mostly of athletic activities then I can see this as being natural. He might just be naturally stocky as well. AND there's the gene therapy - nobody in 2185 is "natural".

While you might see some strength and size gains from pushups if your muscles are largely untrained at first (assuming this is combined with the proper diet) eventually you'll need to add more resistance then your own body weight provides to keep getting stronger (and larger) and you'll most likely reach that point long before your build resembles anything like Vega's. In short while pushups and other cardiovascular exercise are great to keep fit they won't make you particularly big or strong.

I like Vega. Believe it or not, there is something called ruggedly handsome. I'm sick and tired that almost every guy in this game so far looks like a model for "insert pretentious clothesline here". It's about time that we get a dyed-in-the-wool Space Marine and actually looks the part, especially if he'll be the M/M LI. Besides, if anyting, people should be worrying more about his perosonality and gameplay than his looks. It's called a helmet.

@Stardusk

My buddy of mine is very lucky and has good genetics, which let's him gain weight so easily and quickly. He could become a size like that, but he doesn't feel comfortable with that weight. He's about 160-165 and reached 195 in about 2 months and well for me, I can't gain weight easily, yet I was working out and eating as well as my friend. He ended up going back to his original weight because of what I said above. Some are just lucky, so stating that you've been working out for 6 years and gained nothing or haven't seen the results of what you want, doesn't mean it isn't possible. A lot of it is mentally being prepared and for-seeing what you want to gain. You can't say it isn't natural, because for some, being that big can be achieved naturally.
