I always got the vibe Kaidan was bi. But if he hits on me I'll be pissed, even more when he knows that my Shepard isn't gay/bi.
For this moment Bioware no confirm Kaidan is gay
And you doubt it?

^ There'll be no 'hitting on' anybody; Bioware have already confirmed romances will be reactive to player choices and not the other way around.
As far as I can tell, the player has to initiate everything.

If you guys actually payed attention to ME1 you would Kaidan won't hit on Male Shepard unless Male Shepard makes the first move. But I guess it's too much to ask instead of just throwing easy "zomg no hitting!!!" whining around.

Sorry, was to busy killing geth to hang on his every word. He did mention that he liked girls (Rana) and asari (Liara, asari dancers in Chora's Den) though. Guess that makes him "bisexual."IsaacShep wrote...

A cop-out from their side is to cut his gay romance in the first place. But cutting it doesn't make him heterosexual. Unless we assume Tali was asexual in ME1. Horizon makes it rather clear what his feelings are.Kyrene wrote...

IsaacShep, just because you fervently wish it, including your endlessly revived "it was cut from ME1" argument, doesn't make it so. If I were you I'd be insulted if BioWare pandered to me by making any existing character "suddenly bisexual" in ME3. 'cos that's a cop-out from their side.

While I agree with the first part of your post, about the bolded part......what?.
Don't you mean cutting his bi romance in the first place? And it wasn't a cop-out as much as lack of time/resources as you're oft to quote. Cutting it does make him heterosexual, or do you include cut content as part of your gaming experience? Just because Tali had the good taste not to jump my Shepards doesn't make her asexual, so stop that straw man arguing. Oh yes, Horizon, where Kaidan says the same thing to a friend manShep as he does to a LI or friend femShep. Sorry, we have dismissed that claim.IsaacShep wrote...

I respect your "right" to have S/S romances in ME3, but not at the expense of logic. Like it or not, you're a vocal, but very small minority of BioWare's player base. And economics is not a democracy.
I said gay romance because the romance that was cut was between two males. Didn't say he's gay (and not bisexual).Kyrene wrote...

No, I don't pretend my Shep already had a romance with him. But I am going to include this knowledge, just like people include meta-gaming knowledge in their playthroughs even though it ain't actual part of their gaming experience.Kyrene wrote...

You can say that again, and it will still be the same thing as Kaidan's cut romance with male Shepard. If you think cutting that cut Kaidan's attraction to males, then cutting Tali's romance did the same thing, leaving her with no attraction = asexual. Sorry, same logic. You can't use it only when it suits you.Kyrene wrote...

See, I don't consider unromanced FemShep to be just 'friend' to him. Especially considering ME1 establishes he snaps and loses control only when he's romantically involved with someone.Kyrene wrote...

Is it why companies all the different companies in the world target gay consumers? Why could it be, perhaps because it's a statistically wealthy community? Sounds like good economics to me. Not to mention you forgot about straight women interested in role-playing gay males, and even some straight guys who just like to role-play scenarios completly unrealted to their real life preferences (like Yahtzee from Zero Punctuation did in DA2 going for gay romance with Anders even though he's a straight guy). Numbers can be decieving and BW has already said they've got enough data to know it's worth to create this kind of content.Kyrene wrote...

I also did not imply that vocal minority = gay players. Even those you claim will jump at the opportunity are a minority.kumquats wrote...
I think you will be surprised how many will jump on the opportunity to RPG a s/s romance. A lot of people are on the false assumption that those romance option are for the gay players. That's not the case.
