It is more difficult to later turn out to be heterosexual than bisexual.

Romance mods blow in the time of spoken dialogue in games.  They don't really improve the quality of the game at all and your stuck being called the oposite sex for the whole game.  It's totally lame,  and not quite worth it.  So, using that as a defence for why they shouldn't be bi is rather useless.

I could care less who ends up being bi unless they turn out to be simply minor new characters who are simply added in for appeasment's sake.  So new characters as long as they're awesome is fine in my book.  I'm not against old characters being allowed to play for both teams (And truthfully it would be a boon for anyone who is a bit more concerned about this than I am.)

As fir the argument that "The next request will be the make everyone Bi"  who cares?  It's biowares choice or not if they want to do it in newer games.  As is Casey Hudson already said that they will NOT be taking the everyone's bi route in ME3.

Why is this still being argued? The developers already know many players want Ashley and Kaidan to be bisexual, it's been requested since ME1. Is it really necessary to start a 35-page flame war over this issue?

Neither Ashley nor Liara would've gone for a group romance. As Sepe said, Ashley would most likely have vyed for Shepard's attention if Shepard showed interest in Liara, and Liara would've likewise tried to keep Shepard's attention.

There is continuenity in Mass Effect , we all have our desires and wants to fling around in a dating sim like stuff.
Sadly unless you make your own , nothing others make will ever satisfy people .
So basically i prefer there story for now and let my imagination do the rest .
Well if people have there need to fullfill there imagination or beter put there lack of imagination .
It is there issue and there problem , not mine not bioware .

As others stated Bi and Homosexuality isn´t a common thing , if it was so common then heterosexuality would be the minority , that Bi and Homosexuality is accepted or political correct ,doesn´t mean sexual harrasement is accepted .That is a huge difference with online crowd and offline crowd .
Now don´t suffer from homophobic tendency cause some of my real life friends are homosexual (so both female and males) or bisexual , doesn´t mean they do not respect cause am heterosexual .
Any attempt to hit on me aside from the normal joking flirt , means a fist in there eyes
So done deal and topic closed .

I would.

One's idealistic with some sort of victim and entitlement complex. He thinks the world should revolve around one small part of his personality.

The other is selfish with some sort of grudge against catering to minorities. Everything has to cater to HIS interests in one way or another.

Can someone, anyone, PLEASE explain to me why Kaidan and Ashley are being treated as male and female versions of the same character? In other words, why (and more intriguingly how) does the sexual orientation of one have any bearing on the sexual orientation of the other?

For that matter, why (and again how) should the sexual orientation of Shepard have any bearing on the sexual orientation of the rest of the Normandy crew?

I'm beginning to question either your intelligence or age. ashley is not a racist. Aliens are not a race they are a species, if she was prejudiced against them she would be called a speciest which she is not. Her creators said that fan misinterpreted her dialogue. She is a pragmatist, a soldier and a systems alliance patriot. And in ME3, bisexual a long with Kaidan.  Just thought I would sneak that last part in there to stay on topic.
