Why are we backtracking on this? I've never seen shipping materials so slim and little from you guys, and I'm curious as to why the change?

Yes. My Alice print arrived this way as well. Honestly, it works just fine for transport and mine arrived in perfect condition. The only problem I actually see with this is that it was not taped to the interior cardboard, so if anything were to directly damage the back of the cardboard packaging, it could directly transfer damage to the litho (the interior separate piece of cardboard has less risk of being damaged. Still, not bad. This method at the very least prevents corner damage. Now all you really have to worry about are holes and the postman folding the box in half.cheesetogo wrote...
I got my Archangel today. The packaging is actually very good -- the actual litho is in a polybag, which is taped to a piece of cardboard larger than the lithograph itself. Another piece of cardboard goes over this, sandwiching it in. Finally, it's placed in a cardboard box of the same size.
The only problem I see with this method is that the lithograph is forced to hold the shape of the cardboard it's attached to. In this case, the cardboard started to warp inwards a little bit. But really, I can't see it being a problem once it's been removed from the cardboard and placed into a frame.
You think you should of got a lower number to hmm, I got 176 and I when I checked how many were left after I ordered mine their were more then 400 left.Tsuyiin wrote...

Likewise here: the packing looked really unimpressive but it does give a nice wide border to absorb the damage that frequently affected the corners of almost every type of packaging they'd used previously. Unless the entire package is folded over or punctured, it seems to be a success. Unlike the latest Valve lithograph that I ordered: their very thick cardboard tubes are normally impregnable, but it had been thrown around with enough force to cause some quite serious dents to one edge of the lithograph. Fortunately it's only the outer 1-2mm, but still irritating.NamiraWilhelm wrote...
My prints from the alice store are coming sandwiched too, doesnt look reassuring at first glance but it arrived in perfect condition, corners were intact.
