Slice his throat with a rusty cleaver
Slice his throat with a rusty cleaver
Early in the morning~!
Great-looking world design, and what looks like to be the premier vengeful-stabbing simulator. Also people being devoured by a pack of rats, timestop, blink and the ability to throw projectiles back in the opponent's face.
That spells Day1 buy, although I'd love to see an actual, long sequence of gameplay.

What do we do with a drunken whaler x3
Early in the morning
Feed him to the hungry rats for dinner x3
Early in the morning
Way hay and up she rises x3
Early in the morning
Slice his throat with a rusty cleaver x3
Early in the morning
Way hay and up she rises x3
Early in the morning
That song is beautiful in a lunatic sort of way.

Seems like a decent steampunk setting which is cool on its own, but need to see more about the gameplay. But it's Bethesda, so it'll undoubtedly appeal to me.

Also, I believe the young girl must be the player's daughter from his affair with the Empress.

Uuuuh, Bethesda is just a publisher. It's Arkane Studios who does all the grunt's work.android654 wrote...
If Tim Burton still had talent, he could make something like this.

First reason is because it isn't on some stupid floating city (how lame is that!) and secondly because there will be more gameplay, better environment design (open with many, many paths), and a focus on stealth

I love the aesthetic of the game, and Corvo interests me, but the appeal seems to be entirely on gameplay rather than on his character or the story.
Keep in mind this is not an RPG; however, taken together with the premise set up in the CGI trailer, the story seems very intriguing IMO.
Corvo was the bodyguard of the Empress and her secret paramour, until the day she was assassinated and Corvo was framed for her murder. I think Corvo is secretly the father of the Empress' daughter (the young girl in the trailer) and now he's on the run and looking for revenge.

With a little help from the Outsider. I wonder if this supernatural entity is more bad or good. Its kind of 50/50 from how I see it.
With the detail and love Arkane gives, I'm sure the story will not only supplement awesome gameplay and atmosphere, but stand out on its own.
I have a feeling its going to be sad, with a beam of happiness that also comes to fruition.

And now CD Projekt RED (developers of The Witcher) also confirmed that they're working on a Cyberpunk game. This is going to be interesting...

I thought Dishonored was going to be a steampunk game, but it seems it's not steampunk at all. It's more leaning towards cyberpunk.
AFAIK, there are no computers, hackers, or cybernetic implants in this game.

You don't NEED those elements to create a cyberpunk setting. The visual style and setting of Dishonoured does seem to be greatly inspired by cyberpunk. But we'll see.
I'm curious if CD Projekt's upcoming Cyberpunk game is going to be like this, or vastly different, I hope vastly different ofcourse.

No, you're wrong. It has a few elements of Teslapunk but not Cyberpunk. YOu do need computers and cybernetics In order for it to be Cyberpunk, it also needs computer technology to be present and extremely advanced. Reread your Gibson, since he created the genre.
