Commanly known as selling out, and as im sure we're all aware, nothing good comes of it.

Also known as "Staying in Business". Do you want what happened to Pandemic to happen to BioWare?

Frankly, yes. If the future of Bioware is more ME2 and DA2.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. I loved ME2 D:

First, I adore your pic. I am in love with that girl.

On topic, ME2 brought me into the franchise. For a while I didn't know half of what was going on, who all the people were , what "VS" means. But I got ME1, and A) I think it's better, for reasons that don't belong in this thread and B) I don't think we should have a "dummy" character. I don't believe that people too unwilling to play the first games should have an easy out. That said, of course BioWare is going to provide an easy out, because it's plainly obvious that they're trying to attract a whole new crowd. And the type of crowd they're trying to attract--COD, GOW players,etc.--are the types of players who likely won't play older games. My friend who playes Gears of War 2 online constantly never replays the first one's campaign, even though he says it's "one of the best" campaigns he's played. These people just don't seem to have the patience to go backwards.

And you know they won't be reading the codex. How many people really did read it? I did, but it was quite a job (reading all of it, I mean).

Yes, I want that to happen to anyone or any company that puts money ahead of a great 'product'. Lets put it this way, bande a part will allways be rembered for it's greatness whereas transformers the movie shall be forgotten like the money grabbing stain it was. Im actualy suprised that you've prettyy much admitted to putting money before a great product, admire the honesty though but is it realy your place to say such things?

Making a videogame is a huge investment; it costs a lot of time and money to get it going and make all the little gears move. If making money isn't the first priority, you might as well not even bother. Not to say that making a quality product doesn't factor in - of course it does. To the extent that a quality product will likely result in more money.

And, slightly off-topic, Transformers the Movie is hardly unique among the franchise. Don't forget, Transformers as as a cartoon was pretty much made to sell toys, right from the beginning.

Yeah, I just hope he doesn't have a bunch of derpy questions he should already rightfully know the answer to for the sake of providing exposition rather than being a believable character in the ME universe.

Giving the established player the opportunity to reflect on their previous actions wouldn't be a bad thing.

His concept is... somewhat confusing. But as long as he's well written and interesting, a capable squaddie, and accomplishes his goal, I have not problem with him.

I agree with this. The whole series Shepard has been making massive, galaxy-changing decisions and, and besides the opinions of his crew and the council, s/he really has no knowledge of how the galaxy views their actions.

Knowing how someone who was out of the loop, whose only information came second-hand, reacts to me saving/destroying the Rachni Queen, condemning/supporting the Feros colony, etc. would be very interesting.
