Wow, nicely done! I love the realism on the elf brothers you got going on there. They looked like real elves :)

And the spookiness of The Predator and his teleportation technique, awesome! :)

Oh and you can't forget how awesome the dwarf battle sequences were! Good work!

I recommend you ask a mod to move this thread into Cutscenes, you won't find the proper feedback in this part of the forums ;)

These are great videos, really enjoyed watching "The Brothers"... I'm new to cutscene creation so I cannot give any technical feedback, but I have to say from a non-technical (audience point of view) the videos are great to watch. Good job! :-)

And I don't think the toolset community is quite dead yet, it isn't as lively as some communities but I still think a lot of creativity is going on with the toolset still. :-)

we're not dead... we're just taking a vacation?

brothers:

i'm not sure i understand the story, or who all those guys were in the beginning. but all-in-all, i was impressed!

the beginning was very dark, did you add a light to the cutscene? a small-radius light on the characters would help bring them out. of course, if you're going for a dark, dimly-lit atmosphere, there's a certain balance you need to keep. you might try a dramatic side-light for that.
also, the facial expressions were a bit twitchy. you might want to try stretching those out, and editing the squiggles on them to achieve more ease-in/ease-out. you can also stack them in different tracks and X-fade them into each other.

now after that, the street running scene--- THAT was amazing! how long did it take you to do all that??!? i didn't think the camera was 'too' shaky (which i thought sometimes on the warden's fall series by machinima). and i liked the blurry business, too. and dynamic camera angles were great. do you do all those manually, or do you use camera targets?

i have to run, but i will check out the other videos soon. heh, i got two new yootoob channels to subscribe to outta this thread. also some good stuff from allacia ;)
