LOL, Gamlen's such a jerk. If you're a male romancing Fenris, he says something along the lines of "So, you're into elves, are you? I guess I don't have to ask which one of you is the girl in THAT relationship."

I know. I came across it and couldn't help laughing out of shock. He says some of the funniest things about the romances. "I hear you moved that apostate into your house...you really are your mother's daughter" lol. I almost wish we got to know the father, Malcolm Hawke. He sounds like such a badass from all the codex entries and an overall good guy.

Edit - It's also sort of sweet how Bethany says Anders reminds her of him hehe

I was highly disappoint the game did not allow me to adopt Gamlen, at least after Leandra died. What gives, Bioware?

It's his enthusiasm that sells it, if the animations team had more time I imagine he'd be taking notes when he asks what it's like, it would be endearing if it weren't so lecherous.

Really though Gamlen grew on me very quickly. You have to love someone who just can't stop being rude.

What does Gamlen say if you're a female romancing Fenris, though? I've heard both the gay and the straight lines for Anders and the straight line for Isabela, but I lost interest in my Fenris-romanced game before it ever got to Act 3.

He says "it takes all kinds", I'm pretty sure.

Aha. Well, not his funniest response, but they all can't be gems.

I'm wondering what he'll say with my current male mage romancing Anders. Since they're both apostates, his usual line "So, I hear you moved that apostate boy into your house, etc." won't make much sense. But I don't know if the dialogue triggers are sophisticated enough for class checks. But I'll find out in time, I suppose.

His voice in that video is just..soooo creepy. I can't help but laugh hearing it every time. "What's that like..two women?! I've ALWAAAAYYYSSS wondered!!"

The first sentence is the same. The second is "She turned me down flat when I asked."

I always figured this was more Gamlen's choice than Hawke's (or so my head canon tells me). If he was in Hightown, he wouldn't be so free to engage in some backalley card games or wallop matches.

Of course, he would be closer to the Blooming Rose...but maybe too close.

Lol I know if you offer her up to that one Mage in act 3 I think who is getting drunk at the hanged man hoping to lose his virginity she is like mortified and offended that you just assume she'll eff anything that walks haha.

Ahh, Gamlen. Yeah I totally hated him at first since he was such a jerk about the whole Leandra sibling rivalry thing...it reminded me of my fem Hawke's relationship with Carver since the game starts off with his rivalry so high lol.

But when Leandra died and Gamlen was really torn up about it I liked him a lot more, cause the whole time he just acted like he couldn't stand Leandra and she was somehow "imposing" on him. So that scene was pretty great.

I feel for Gamlen he stayed in Kirkwall looking after his parents and he got jack, his mothers last words were Leandra. I'd be ticked if some one ran off with a ferelden apostate and They got everything including the kitchen sink.

Yes, and they're documented on Gamlen's page in the Dragon Age Wiki.

The one for Isabela is the best. 

Edit: Hrmm, it doesn't list anything for Merrill. Anyone know if he says something in that case?
