Also new one looks a lot like Soap from MW2.

Just as much as the old one does.

Sigh, fanboys.

Good work, but I like the original as well.

To be honest it's more his posture - the way the left shoulder is pulled up among other things. He just looks too tense standing there.

*snip*

obesity, along with all major forms of Human benetic problems and disease are gone. There aren't any midgets either, and TIM can smoke all he wants. People should read the codex entries more. The EARTH codex entry sums it up pretty much. Cerberus can bring people back from the dead but we can't fight fatness? FAIL

People should really make stuff up less and actually check their sources because the earth codex says otherwise:

"Advanced nations have eliminated most genetic disease and pollution. Less fortunate regions have not progressed beyond 20th century technology, and are often smog-choked, overpopulated slums."

Yes the advanced nations have eliminated most (not all) genetic diseases (does not specify which ones) however many other nations are still stuck with a 20th century lifestyle.

I agree, you repurposed him. This face would be cool for a Shapard, but he is not Shepard.

Plus, as if his proportions weren't a bit exagerated as it is, now his abs look ready to burst out of his shirt. He is Marine, not a Jersey Shore douchebag. Hell I would prefer to remove the neck tatoo and slightly tone down his muscles. Leave the face as it is, he is not fugly, just average-looking, which is fine by me (I am an heterosexual male, however, can't speak for others :P).

Where was I when Michelangelo joined the forums? Truth is everyone isn't born with supermodel features. I don't know how I feel about this. Why is the Akira movie not being filmed or cast in Asia?

Darwin was right no fat or ugly people in 2100. Kids born with clipped lips are abandoned and left to die in Africa. That show Taboo is awesome.

With exception of the hair, not a single similarity.

If one nation can do it, it means HUMANITY as a whole (how they are seen) can do it.

He looks like a macho in that pic. Gay alert lol, if he would've been like that, some guys on this forum would've definitely wanted him to become available as a S/S romance option.
P.S. Sheploo looks like Jean Claude Van Damm.

But why a normal/good looking guy has to be gay? :?

Ho doesn't have to. All I'm saying is that, in my opinion, he looks attractive to both women and gays. I just have a feeling he is the type of men gays prefer.

So... New Vega really does it for ya, huh? ;)

At any rate, how is it a bad thing to be attractive? I've had gay guys hit on me before... its was a little wierd, but when you get down to it, its really just a compliment.

@OP Good work. He does look like Jerry O'Connell though, lol. I think this Vega would totally work for any class other than a tank, in which case he shouldnt be purdy from all those baddies smashing his face in.

Nice job with the redesign. I'd personally prefer a balance in between your's and BioWare's. But still, great work :)

It's not really that simple, though.  Besides, what does it matter?  The codex says what it says, whether anyone likes it or not.

There aren't even any fat humans in the ME universe. His face looks more...normal now. Less derp. Good job.

Yes there is.
Bioware just didn't feel the need to waste resources creating extra character models for NPCs.

What's next, we never see anyone do a sh*t therefore nobody sh*ts in the ME universe?

That's not the best analogy. Fact is, we see hundreds and hundreds of humans over the course of both games. And not one is overweight. Whatever the justification, there's not reason to assume any humans are. Or is there a codex entry I missed? You can't just say there are overweight humans when there isn't any evidence of them.

The analogy fits fine.

We see hundreds and hundreds of humans over the course of both games and yet we do see anyone do a sh*t.
Come to think of it we don't see any nipples, vaginas or penises either does that mean they don't exist?

Seriously what's more likely:
Everyone in the entire ME universe has the exact body shape except for a few individuals on Shepard's team.

OR

It's a game so naturally it has limitations and thus cannot show people of all body types.

You know very well that the reasons for not having the things you mentioned shown in the game are for entirely different reasons. I make the assumption that people take a sh*t and have reproductive organs because I understand the reason for not showing such things in the game. Surely it can't be that hard to design a few overweight humans, but I understand Bioware's rational. I mean, why "waste" resources on something that's going to help represent the universe in a more accurate way?

This is all besides the point I was trying to make earlier, though. I think it's ridiculous to make the argument that, because not everyone is a supermodel, we should accept the way James Vega looks.

I speak for all the fat ugly people when I say we are not represented properly in pop culture. It could be a form of natural selection. We are trying to photoshop out all the ugly in the world. One doughnut at a time.

It's good but he looks too much of a badass type of character. We already have Zaeed to fill that role.

Ah, but neither Zaeed nor Grunt is confirmed for Squadmates in ME3, so far. Plus, PWatamaniuk tweeted,

"Garrus, and James with Revenants is devastating.  You need to manage them but they make bad guys go away with vigor."

Therefore, James Vega IS a BADASS Marine tank and a full time squadmate in ME3.

That is nice work on the redesign. However, I'm not overly bothered by the existing Vega.
