Project Q and NWShader

But i'm looking to use Project Q and NWShader with the NWN OCs and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction on how to do so assuming it's possible, going through the FAQ on Project Q's website states that it is possible, but requires some knowledge of the toolset.
Anyone know more? do you simply add the haks to the mods and be on your way? or is there more to it?

If you wish to add more resources present in the hackpak(s), you must do it yourself by editing the module(s) area(s) with the toolset and saving, again you must attach the hackpak(s) to the module(s) in order to do that.
NWShader works regardless of modules

I haven't tried it myself, being rather tired of all the OCs, so I can't say how much is changed. I do think the way he's implemented differing combat animation styles for henchmen in SoU sounds really cool.
Also, whilst the bulk of Q needs to be built into modules to use the content, a pretty large number of things override the standard content, and thus just adding the Q haks to a module will give you some new things to look at.

Will that affect anything if i'm currently in the middle of the campaign or something? like having to start over?

well it doesn't work with already saved games. If you use overriding resources dumped in the NWN\\override folder
I'm not sure if that affects saved games. Just as a reminder, overrides in the override folder must be the content files and not a hakpack that is a container of content.
But if you use a hakpack that you attach to a campaign module and save it, you have to play that new OC module that is now in the form of regular user modules for the content to be available.
So in general yes, you have to start over.
