Hello I've been readin up on multiple threads with situations of CTD and so forth so please bear with me when i tell you i've eliminated most CTD except for the random occuring one everynow and then. Now my issue is if I visit denerim city everything is fine until i walk towards the market tents in the center. The moment I do the game freezes up I still hear sound but its frozen and I must CTRL+ALT+ DEL close program my way out of the game and restart. Now occasionaly upon doing so that particular save file will also become corrupt and I will no longer be able to load my game saves that are saved in denerim. I've tried low res options. Forcing -dx9 options (which that solved a majority of my CTD issues right there).

My current system is Windows 7 32 ultimate edition

Processor :    AMD Phenom II X3 740 @ 3000MHz
Physical Memory :    4096MB (4 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM )
Graphics card:  4870 1 gig DDR5

Also note I just recently purchased the dragon age Ultimate Edition since it was cheaper than buying Awakening by itself with me already having a copy of dragon age Origin.

Any help anyone can offer as to if its my spec or something to do with Windows 7 (If its a windows based error im totaly gonna cry as i will not reformat my hard drive for one game.)

Also tried fresh clean driver installs. Reinstalling the game now with deleted everything (saved files and settings) Tried reverting to old Ati catalyst drivers. Nothing worked I sitll froze up everytime i got neart those freaking tents in denerim

As tedious as it may be to type, knowing exactly what you have done to date really does help narrow down the possibilities.

Does this happen with multiple characters or with only one character? Can you go elsewhere in Denerim without incident? If you have only tried it with one character, what was the character's origin? (there are some origin specific things that happen in the Denerim market) Who is in the party with your character?

Also, what is your sound card?

I have tried multiple Characters. Even Deleted a 18 hour invested character thinking it was just one corrupted save game because I also used the respeccing mod to alter leiana. But then on a fresh install game with no mods ever installed and a brand new made character i still froze up in denerim. I've went in by myself. I've tried dif party memebers. I've tried to eliminate diferent possibilites.

Also the sound card I have is just the basic on board sound card that came with my motherboard. WHICH Now that i think about i did just recently update its audio drives which could very well be the cause of everything.
