Entitlements seem to be the verbage used for Origin's DLC, Acheivements, unlocks, etc. From section five of the terms of service (http://tos.ea.com/le...en/PC/#section5):

"We do not guarantee that any Content or Entitlement will be available at all times or at any given time or that we will continue to offer particular Content or Entitlements for any particular length of time. We reserve the right to change and update Content and Entitlements without notice to you.  If you have not used your Entitlements or Account for twenty four (24) months or more and your Account has associated Entitlements, your Entitlements will expire and your Account may be cancelled for non-use.  Once you have redeemed your Entitlements, that content is not returnable, exchangeable, or refundable for other Entitlements or for cash, or other goods or services."

So they're first threatening entitlements would be lost for non-use but they also threaten whole accounts (and by proxy, the games purchased in that account) would be lost.

I played ME2 twice through the week it came out, while I did go back for some of the DLC, it's coming up over two years since that game came out by the time ME3 comes out. If my only interest in Origin is Mass Effect, do I risk losing my games if I don't periodically check in? Kind of rediculous.

Wrong place to ask this.

That would be an EA Support question. This board deals with items sold in the Bioware store run by Treehouse. They don't have anything to do with EA.
