I would like to see that kind of emotional scene in Mass Effect 3 where my LI Liara came by my side in Mass Effect 1 to cheer me up and in Mass Effect 2 LOTSB when in the end i comforted her and show that my Shepard was still in love with her and if they do this in Mass Effect 3 there might be more emotional scenes because of the war and situations going on

I think the choices you have made should determine if there is such a scene. I can't imagine a pure 100% renegade Shepard having this scene but an equivalent should happen. A paragon should definitely have it, his indigenous planet is dying for Christ sack. I hope in all of ME3 Shepard is more of a relatable human than a robot. LotSB was good when Liara & Shep are on the Normandy however I hope they take that real humanity I saw in my Shep and evolve my character.

...A 100% renegade Shep should probably have a tantrum and break his model ships.

Sounds good to me.

Renegade Shepard punches a hole in glass shattering his/her ships/ or throws the papers off his/her desk in fury.

Neutral Shepard tries a succeeds on regaining composure. We see Neutral Shepard struggling for a moment, then overcoming emotion.

Paragon Shepard slumps to the floor and buries his/her head in hands/ maybe a shower breakdown scene where they slump to the floor in the shower.

My Shep don't cry like a sissy. Get the job done, no matter the cost.

I have no need for this emotional crap. So, no support from here.

That would be alright, I suppose, as long as it goes along with your Shep's character.

I would like to see something like how they did it in dead space 2.
*Possible spoilers*

Right before Isaac faced the big threat he helps his friend escape, and then just kinda slumps to the floor and sits there for a bit. I liked how they did that.

God forbid Shepard actually appear human for a moment.

Well, he's a cyborg through all of ME2, so he spends the whole game appearing to be human.

I don't mind if shepard expresses some distress, but it wouldn't fit his charater well to just break down.

If it can happen to this captain, why not Shepard?

I thought the locker scene in ME1 was very effective at conveying Shepard's humanity. It showed her defeated, but able to bounce back from that defeat. It also brought her that much closer to her love interest.

I'm not really after a moment where Shepard has a full break down in her own time or anything like that (I think the sort of honesty we saw in LOTSB was perfect and not overly dramatic).

BUT, what I am after is a situation - a final mission - that is so tough that it puts Shepard under so much physical and emotional pressure that she's brought close to breaking point. That's probably the only time I want to see Shepard be like that; a ridiculously epic, emotionally and physically gut-wrenching mission that makes her N7 training feel a picnic with the tooth fairy. I mean, 1. it would show that side of her; 2. it would show that this is how extraordinarily high Shepard's limits are; and 3. it would validate how utterly difficult the whole situation is and just how hard we have to work to beat the Reapers.

If that's what a break down is, then fine. That's not what I have in mind when I think of a break down though. Shepard just seemed frustrated to me.

I wish Bioware would do something like this. :(

I support this if they do it in a good way and that it's optional. Personally i want a breakdown but if it's optional those who don't want one can pick an option that fit their Shepard.

I think it depends on if it's an uncontrolled reaction to an immediately happening situation VS. "I'm going to decide to go to my room to have a retrospective cry about everything."

I don't think the former is an optional thing; but the latter is.

I agree completely with the OP - this is exactly the kind of emotional scene ME3 needs.

Yes. After all his/her attempts in trying to keep humanity safe only to have Earth invaded by the Reapers, and has to kiss up to all the politics of Citadel Space, there'd better be some frustration.

As long as you can choose how to internalize everything (channeling it into anger, getting a shoulder to cry on, etc.) then I'm all for it!

I'm all for a scene where Shepard breaks down but it has to be something that shatters him to his very core

As I said in Phoenix's thread. Character development - good, uncontrolled crying - bad.
At the moment I don't where can Bioware put "breakdown scene". Before Final Battle? Fear - maybe, despair - nope, that's not really a time for despair when whole Galaxy is preparing to strike. After leaving Earth? Shepard should be the last person who can afford despair. He/she is the only one who at least has an idea what to do.
