Give us such a grand hero in DA3, EA! Would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance! to come back here to win back your fans?!!

I agree, have been waiting for someone to unite the Dalish to fight the good fight for some time now. Bonus point if they grant the PC the title of "Revas", the elvish word for freedom.

As far as my understanding of DA lore, that's essentially who Shartan is.

So long as elves look more like this:

I'm going to have a hard time giving a crap about them and whatever freedom fighting they want to get up to.

Now maybe if elves looked more like this:

I'd be able to take them seriously as a William Wallace type.

I would adore this. I've been meaning to play an elven character for some time now, but I let my fangirlish instincts get ahead of me in DA:O, and of course Hawke is human.

So, yes, please Bioware. :D

Iorveth is, simply, a very cool hero. But sometimes he's too harsh and cruel.

Maybe the Elven savior can even be a master mage like no other, and he leads 300 Spartan-like battle mages to fight against all odds.

"This day, we rescue a world from mysticism and tyranny...and usher in a future brighter than anything we can imagine. Give thanks, my Elven brethren! To (the elven hero's name) and the brave 300!!! To victory!"

He'll certainly need to be an elf that thinks like a general and fights like a Spartan. Hopefully everything he does will be awesome.

What about the mages, don't they deserve their freedom too? Maybe we can have Morrigan in a return DLC, do a fem WW and free them as well, considering that disaster on how DA2 ended that I didn't want nor did I choose.

I've been dreaming of something like that for some time now. A Dalish rise to power, unifying the elves and using the City Elves as the unexpected Fifth Column. There's so much potential in that.

@Brockololly: You know, a leader doesn't necessarily need to look the part. Tbh, it's even a bit shallow and clichéed, IMO.
This said, yeah, Iorveth. Let me shamelessly fangirl for a moment here:wub:

Yes, I also wonder...if there is really such a hero, will he be a City Elf, a Dalish or a mage?

I'm personally more interested in the story of a City Elf Wallace :)

(Hey it'll be splendid if they allow us to choose from different origins again!!!)

Yeah totally. All the latest rpgs I've played treat elves like crap. Where's the elven hero that actually makes a difference for his/her people?

Mages and elves should unite for a common goal.

If there was to be a new elf hero/unifier, maybe it would be someone like DA:O's Shianni (City Elf origin), if not actually her (or perhaps she will be a symbolic figure for a movement or revolution). The epilogue text differs a bit - she is either murdered or becomes an elder, but the commonality is that she works to better the lives of the elves in the Alienage.

elven William Wallace? Who die liberating his people from tyranny?

One more gay-romance?

Just so that I don't misunderstand...is that what you would like for the elven William Wallace, or are you making an assumption that an elven William Wallace would be a LI?

I can't help but think of a Joshua Graham-ish guy for this.

The Dalish are pretty much passive Scoia'tale, though they don't have the numbers or communication to take on an entire kingdom. It had to be in the inside of human cities....

Maybe the elven William Walace can be a companion for DA3?

Sounds good as long as my PC gets a chance to kill him (not a fan of Dalish). I most certainly would not want to play as that character though... And if it's a companion, I want the option of not working with him/her... I do not want to play a game with the goal of an elven rebellion at the core.

...... that would be a sure-proof manner to make me ~not~ buy DA3. God, how I hated Mel Gibson's shameless self-promotion in that movie. Which, on a sidenote, had zip all to do with the factual events. Not to mention that they forgot the bridge at the Battle of Stirling Bridge!
