Has anyone failed at this? Ever? All it does is slow you down and bore you for no reason.
-Planet Scanning
Kinda cool the first time you did but got old very fast.
-Paragon/Renegade system
Just rewards you for playing a pretty 1 dimensional saint/jerk,

This is a pretty good list of anti-fun things. Bioware in general needss to figure out a way to implement morality where pegging it one way or the other doesn't "help" ypou. Even things like Friend/Rival in DA2 fails because you want to either be all friend or all rival.

Toss in inventory management and badly done mini-games (hello KoTOR turret guns) and you have two more prime offenders from Bioware games of the past.

Oh, I forgot: it's not exactly a feature, but another Virmire situation would anger and disappoint me.

Bisexual Garrus, lets pray to God it never happens. Also, the omni-blade, it don't get how a hologram of a knife acts like a real-knife, why not just give soldier Shepard a retractable metal knife coming from their armor gloves?

Everyone to be bisexual.

Can't we have characters that are just heterosexual or homosexual too?

  • Hammerhead
  • The scanning migame
  • pyro enemies
  • How the paragon charm and Renegade intimidate works in ME2 (Secret meter that tracks how many times you got paragon/renegade when it was available)
  • Intro that you can't skip (Or just let us create out character right away)
  • Hacking when you match the three lines of code
  • Better character creator (I probably won't use it anyone though since I use Default male Shepard and I made a pretty good female Shepard)

ME1's inventory.

Mission complete screens.

Excessive Repetetive tasks such as Scanning or the Hacking/Bypass mini games. I understand why they were in ME2 and why they will be coming back in ME3 but Bioware really needs to do somthing about how often the gamer has to do these monotonus tasks.

I would really hate it if managing my squad in Me3 was similar to the way it was in DA:O or DA2. hate those games, it's too much of a chore keeping everyone happy, say something and you make 1 character happy at the expense of pissing off someone else. By no means do I want ME3 to be a simplistic game, I expect that there will be moments when we will have to chose who our alies are in ME3 and that we may have to dissapoint some people but but if the ME development team goes down the DA route than I'm afarid that is too much micro management for my liking.

I don't want former ME2 squad mates to be reduced to just cameo roles, I want the option to be able to get them to join me and recruit them as squad mates.

I don't want a cheap cop out for how Shepard can defeat the Reapers.

I want to keep my Spectre status in ME3 and I want it to mean somthing in ME3. I will be soo angry if ME3 comes out an I find that it has either been revoked by the Council ( on account of the incident with the Batarians ) or that it means nothing ( like it did in ME2 ).

I don't understand some of these unwanted features. I still fail to see how the Mission Complete screen breaks immersion. It's a mission report. You get those after a mission. Besides, I found it helpful.
The omni-blade? Suspend your disbelief, people. FTL travel is scientifically impossible, and Mass Effect is based on that. It's called science fiction for a reason.
Global cooldown? Being able to spam powers made Mass Effect's combat far too easy. ME2's system makes far more sense.
Thermal clips? I would prefer it if Shepard had one single supply of clips instead of different supplies for each weapon, but to me, the thermal clip system is much smarter than the overheat system.
Other complaints I can understand, like a cheap copout ending, and those terrible hacking minigames. Either keep the minigames and make them fun or quick, or just get rid of them.

Having to fly a miniature Normandy on the galaxy map instead of the more convenient click system as in ME1.

The omni-blade is supposed to be some sort of mono-molecular shard created by the omni-tool's fabrication module. For more info see the omni-blade discussion thread.

I haven't decided if I'm an unwashed deviant philistine for having no objections to the omni-blade or if everyone complaining about it are just a bunch of nitpicky twits. I'm leaning toward the latter.

 - Unskippable dialogue/cutscenes
 - Bypass minigames
 - Planet scanning (Only put up with it for one playthrough, now I use a save editor)
 - Pressing the space bar accepts a dialogue option (Picking one you don't want by accident when skipping through dialogue)
 - Paragon/Renegade
 - Assorted issues with cover

My top three in no particular order -
  • Multiplayer
  • A deus ex machina solution to the reaper threat
  • Cerberus revealed to be nothing but mustache-twirling villains
My other two, bisexual romance for ALL characters and dull loading screens (hopefully the dreaded mission complete screen as well while we are at it) have already been addressed by Bioware.

Oh you, your poll is so difficult!

I voted on scanning because the Hammerhead was never a large feature of gameplay in ME 2, and nothing main story related required any Hammerhead use, or I'd have voted on Hammerhead.

The vehicle is poor as anything, handles like crap, has a lousy weapon(read cheat), and has armour thinner than paper. The Mako suffered greatly from poor level design, and slightly overagressive controls. As a vehicle it was superior to the Hammerhead.

But fuel, Normandy fuel is another anti-fun thing because it seems like such a tacked on thing, just to be a money drain so you can't buy that upgrade. *cue trollface*

And thermal clips. And squaddies not noticing they're on the wrong side of cover. And regenerating health. And ammo powers(seriously, how are they powers?)

I don't want any more dead fish, or daft pets like hamsters.

Loading screens for exiting and entering the Normanday. There was nothing wrong with the air lock thing a la ME1, they weren't as long as lifts and are shorter than the loading screen that replaced it. There was no need to replace that function, not to mention it would stop people moaning about immersion.

The main one however has to be skip buttons that are also the button that chooses dialogue.

Well i say no to:
- powers locked by other powers - too restrictive - cant play as you would like
- no ammo for main guns, always have to go with what you can shoot more, not with what you like
- adept without anything against shields and having to fight his ass off, while Infiltrator at exactly same situation can just have a few headshots and have a tea party if he likes too without any fuss.
- combat bikinis and bulletproof haircuts, team showing up to go to combat without a combat gear.
- being frendly with you team leading straight to romance? baaah..
- team wondering off god knows where
- cover where you get headsohtted
- no more shooting alley coridors
- kick in a quad outperfoming a gun, or guns with no meaning or impact on enemy
- getting stuck in a walls
- boss fight where y running sideways around cover and shootin like in doom 1
well i need coffenow.. whuuh whatta question was that one!
