Mass Effect and a Gay Romance with Garrus the Turian

There is just one thing that would make it perfect.
Since the confirmation of same-sex romances in ME3, I have begun to hope that perhaps my male Shepard will be able to romance Garrus. Before everyone starts complaining '''Garrus isn't gay!', first, lets look at the Mass Effect world.
Honestly, with all the interspecies unions going on, does gender really matter? And playing as male Shepard. Garrus always came off as someone who just wanted to find love with whoever would accept him, regardless of species or gender.
So, here''s to hoping that Garrus will be a same-sex Lonve Interest!
And feel free to post your opinions and ideas.
Please do.

If you noticed, someone's already posted the link. Now, why don't you try a little self-policing and not contribute to this thread if it's spam?

This. Garrus isn't gay/bi/whatever you wish to term him for mshep's world. He like everybody else already went through his confession phase doing a confession to Mshep of holding back his feelings for 3 is ridiculous. He slept with fshep and didn't with mshep end result he's hetro. New characters like vegas for s/s leave all past LI alone.

I love Mass Effect. The story is immersive, the plot is solid, and the gameplay is fun and engaging. A truly good game.

Firstly, in my opinion being homosexual is not a choice to humans. It is a random genetic mutation/trait whatever.
My point, why would the existence of attraction to aliens change the attraction of human to another gender?
No offense, but that was a ridiculous argument. You should have just said that no specific sexuality has been stated by Garrus himself, which would leave him open to bi-sexuality.

I think that was merely a poor choice of words on the behalf of the op. I think what he meant to point out (and maybe I'm wrong here) was that by the time that the mass effect games take place, prejeduce involving homosexuals will be null. The other races have been in space for far longer than humans have, and have lived in civilised society for far longer than humans have, they have had many, many years to work out such prejeduces, and the fact that humans have been introduced into a society ruled by such races, would suggest that those prejeduces (if they had not already been cast out among humans, and by that stage I would hope that they would have been) would have been forcibly suppressed in our own culture.
This and the fact that with the introduction of humans into galactic society, means they now have yet another race with sexual patterens of which are hormone driven and of which involve two differant genders. Now if we think of the four main races on the galactic stage, the only two with these traits are turians and humans, this increases the "viability" shall we say, of interspecies relationships coming into fruition, and thus creating an entirely new taboo, among both cultures.
I think what the op was trying to say is, is that with this whole new taboo of interspecies relationships, homophobia has kind have been overshadowed, by this entirely new thing for the consevative bastards of the galaxy to insult and generalise.
