I think what he meant to point out (and maybe I'm wrong here) was that by the time that the mass effect games take place, prejeduce involving homosexuals will be null. I think what the op was trying to say is, is that with this whole new taboo of interspecies relationships, homophobia has kind have been overshadowed, by this entirely new thing for the consevative bastards of the galaxy to insult and generalise.

There will always be prejudice in the world. Always. Why does everyone think the future will be a cultural paradise? News flash people! For all we know the future could be a living hell. Future does not always = better.

Actually I don't see why not - Shep being a human is much more of an issue than his/her gender, Garrus does state that he never ever thought about humans that way, I woun't be surprised if telling males and females apart is a problem for him
He gets in to it with Shep because if Shep told him he should try banging a male Krogan Garrus will probably give it a shot, since in his experience Shep always turns out to be right
We never got any "feedback and impressions" from him in ME2 thou, I'm very interested what he actually thinks about his first "human experience"...

I admit that I would be SHOCKED if Garrus could be bisexual, but it would not ruin my game. The romance with female Shepard showed that he doesn't even think human females are attractive, and SHE had to make the first move. Of all the "maybe bi" characters I see argued about, he's the one that should be impossible to start a "ninjamance" with.
