A question for any of those that have imported a Shepard into ME 2 and played through LOTSB with a character that had romanced both Liara and Ashley in ME 1...what impact does this have on LOTSB?

The big "IF" I am wondering about is...if you romance both in ME 1, but ultimately choose Ash...with LOTSB do you have an opportunity to rekindle things with Liara (more out of frustration with how Ash treats you on Horizon than anything else)?

I am not sure how this situation plays out myself...when I have done the romance both before I usually go with the "renegade" response of, "Can't I have both of you?" - which has Ash making the decision for me.

Regardless of your decision whether or not to romance Liara in ME 1, it is clear to me that with LOTSB there is a lot of emotion behind her decision to "retrieve" Shepard from the SB.  Could this be one of the reltionship triangles that the developer's have hinted at in ME 3?

I never tried this, but I wouldn't expect any difference.

I'm not sure I expect any difference in ME 2...more wondering what the impact on ME 3 might be...essentially will the choice b/w the two that you made in ME 1 get revisited again?

I hope you get some problems and have to win your favourite's heart again (wheter it is a ME1 or ME2 romance) and not just a dialouge option were you just say. "Oh..I'd like X" I'd love some challenge

No, you don't. You can't romance Liara in LOTSB unless you're already in a romance with her.
