Spent talent points wrong - start over or is it no biggie?

I started a warrior thinking I'd make him run around all crazy with 2 handers kicking ass and gave him Pommel Strike  - then I realized I really liked the 1h+shield gameplay, so now I'm "stuck" with 1 point in Pommel Strike and the rest spent on 1h+shield talents.

Do you guys reckon it's worth starting over because of this? Or might it end up being useful later on? I'm unsure how many points I'll end up with, so having a bit of both might actually be good?

Oh and I just quit the game after becoming a Grey Warden, so I think I'm level 4-5 ish.

I'd really hate to have to restart, but if it's a major issue I'd probably regret not having done it later.

I should probably just keep playing and quit worrying about such things :P

At least I'll catch some sleep now :)

My thanks in advance.

you can restart and do a different origin as warrior, otherwise i'd just use the respec mod

Hmm yeah but then I would get a different game down the line wouldn't I? I'm pretty happy about the selections I've made so far. I'll probably end up playing all the starter stories tho - but I'd like to save that for later.

//edit// just googled around abit more - found a respec mod now. Wish I had found that before posting here, but guess I was using the wrong search words.
I'll check it out, thanks :)

Here's the respec mod, came in very handy for me after I spent several points on 2h and archery early but ended up going 1h + shield:

Yeah cheers mate, I just installed it.

I need to go to a certain place and buy a potion to reset everything, is that correct?

Yeah in camp by the fallen tree there's a raven, just hold down tab and you should see it. If you talk to it there's a vial attached to its leg you can take and then use and all your stats will be reset.

This is the Grey Warden camp - the one where the ritual is performed - ?

I'm not very far in the game so I'm still getting my bearings :)

No, later on you will travel using the map; in the top right there is an icon to go to camp.  You've still got a little way to go before you can do that though. There is a place called Flemeth's hut you will visit soon, and there's a raven there near a ruined statue that you can get the potion from also I think :)

Alright, sounds excellent - I'm not in a big rush to get it dont as long as I know it will be available later. It's an odd way of doing it, but I won't complain.

Thanks everyone.

Interesting so my Archer wouldn't be stuck with Poison, unless the rogue starter skill stays?

Awesome, thanks. Wasn't a fan of having poison there when I create an archer.
