I made a Bioware account when I preordered Mass Effect 2, but then lost my password due to computer issues.  I think this was before Bioware Social accounts were linked to EA accounts.  Now, when I try and retrieve a password or have it reset I get sent to the EA site which tries to reset the EA account that I'm currently on.  How can I access the Bioware account if it's not linked to an EA account?  I'd like to play Mass Effect 2 again and I'd rather not have to pay for another Cerberus code when I still have the one that's associated with the locked Bioware account.

Thanks.

Accounts on this website have always required and been linked to EA accounts.  You can recover your password from https://profile.ea.c...rgotpassword.do.

Yeah I followed all the instructions (reset my passsword on the same e-mail address as my BioWare account) but when I try to sign in it takes me to a sign up page where it says I have tried to sign in with my EA account and that I have to fill in the relevent fields, so I did that too but it said that my e-mail address had already been taken. All I need is a password reset e-mail sent from the BioWare SocialNetwork itself.

Or alternatively if my main account be deleted so I can create a new account that would actually be linked to my EA account (I have no items of significance registered to that account apart from registered Dr. Pepper promotional content for Mass Effect 2 and few pieces of registered content for Dragon Age II but I couldn't access any of it anyway seeing as I'm on the Xbox 360 (My account would have to be linked before I could use any of it).

Anyway it's good to see that BioWare actually makes an effort to improve and help it's own fanbase (Yes I'm looking at you Activision)

P.S. Not to cause any offence to you Jeff but this temporary account is not linked to any EA account at all.

I see the problem with your old account.  It's pretty rare but I've seen it a few times.  Your Tom.Sparky EA account has a different email and the email you previously used is now linked to a different EA account.  I'll send you a PM shortly with more details and update your account here so you can login again.

No offense taken and I'm not trying to sound rude but that's incorrect.  Accounts here are essentially EA accounts.  Your current temporary account and every account on this site is linked to an EA account.  This site creates you an EA account on account creation if one doesn't already exist.  That's why you are getting prompted for a password, for the Tom.Sparky email, when you try and signup, because an EA account with that email already exists.

I've tried that password recovery already for both email addresses that I could have used.  One changes the password for this account (email removed) and the other seems to have created a new account (email removed).  Neither of which seems to give me access to the account here http://social.biowar...119393/#profile which is the one I believe I created originally.  Could you check and see if the email address of that account matches either of the two addresses I've provided?

Thanks.

EDIT: email addresses removed by moderator

The email address on that account is slightly different than your first one.  I'll send you a PM shortly with the details.

I have the same problem here. My account here and OLD EA downloader are registered with my old e-mail address.
I tried to purchase DA2 : Legacy DLC and got prompt to confirm my password.

When I try to reset my password, it links to my new-created EA Origin account, registered with my new e-mail address.

Is it possible to sync up my account here with my EA Origin account, since my old e-mail address is not available anymore?
(That's why I use a new one while creating EA Origin account. And I had no idea it would mess up my BW account)

Thanks

EA Downloader, EA Origin and this site all use the same EA Account system for creating accounts and login.  Did you purchase Legacy with a newer EA Account?  Can you PM me the old and new emails you have for your accounts so I can look into this?
