Recently my PS3 stopped reading discs and so I purchased a new slim PS3, however I now find my save files for DAO are copy protected, what are you doing Bioware?

I've spent over 100+ hours on this game which I've yet to complete but was close to finishing and now I can't. I've heard about Sony cloud option but this will cost more money to subscribe, for something I should already have.

If Dragon age 2 is like this then I'm afraid I won't be buying it or any other title that has copy protection on ones personal saves. I'm sorry if I come across negative or strong here but how is one supposed to feel Bioware?

DA2 is not like this. From what I've read, DAO is system locked due to when it came out Sony required it. It had something to do with trophies and I guess trophy hackers.

If you had a PSN during the hack, you should have gotten a free month of Plus, which would have let you use the cloud. Though I don't know if that would have let the games work on the new PS3.
