How much I care about what some random website says about anything:
Zero [-I----------------------------] More than anything
The meter pegs very low on that one.

This thread sucks people who defend that dog **** review are idiots. Dragona Age is far far above average why else would I be on my 3rd playthrough? Most RPGs get so stale and lame I don't even finish them so there ya go. It's a phenominal game. If you don't like my opinion take it with a cup of salt.

It is understandable, mainly because this game is not unique to begin with, yes voice overs and stuff... but the way the gameplay is, is close to many of the MMOs out there which is in the RPG genre as well just with the pausing as a difference.
I don't play on a console though but the as I see it the console users are limited in many ways, also it reflects on no Multiplayer on the PC side of the game for custom worlds, which technically should downgrade the game by alot as well.
Take Half life... Quake series or whatever else... there was a posibility to use various toolsets to work around with to make actual mods on, as well as those mods on the core engine or game would reflect people being able to address them in multiplayer ways as it is, it really is a downfall having a toolset and not being able to exploit it fully out those ways.
Just my base review of the game as it is, not heading in with more details, but this is how I would describe it in some ways and also I would add in stuff like 4-5 years of development and nothing more than this.
I still like playing the game though so I contradict myself but I doubt it would last for long unless something radical happens... the tendency with completing stuff is that you get bored with it faster unless something happens to the game or we are granted posibilities to play around with, fair and square... I might be a big fanboy of bioware games or at least those that appeal to me... but no more to that I realize I am getting screwed from behind in some cases in a figure of speech.

Yet Edge gives FPS very high marks? Halo for instance really is a mediocre FPS, but because it was a console FPS it got high marks. This is a fact, because when you compare Halo to the FPS genre in general, it is very mediocre, but when you compare Halo to other Console FPS... oh wait now we know why Halo gets such high marks.

I don't play Halo, anyhow Hybrid games often am hard to relate to, at times I even wonder if DAO is an FPS-RTS game or RPG-RTS game or RPG-FPS game, even though I am playing the PC version for me it feels like there is elements from all those genres making it more hybrid than actually genre based.
Also if it is alot of teens that is reviewing a mature rated game it could go wrong just easely as they do not understand it as well as people easier get carried away with FPS games rather than RPG games as it is, just placing my 5 cents... and there is ways to understand in that different views can be inaccurate.
