Should a Dual Wield warrior be putting anything into Con and Will? And once you get past 36 Dex, do you stop putting into Dex? Thanks. :)

Well it depends on what you want to use him for, a dps dw will want more willpower, a tank will want more constitution. Heres my DW tanks stats at level 17 for what it's worth

str: 48

dex:42

wil: 20

mag:13

cun:19

con:31

At this point I'm going to pump cons and will up some for my next few levels.

Well he won't be tanking, so I can ignore Con?

With Willpower, how much and how often?

I havn't built a pure dps dw war so this is speculative, I'll just say that DW sweep is insane amounts of dps when fighting more than one mob, you want enough stamina (after sustained buffs) to be able to use it whenever it's off cooldown. Wich in my exp is twice, pretty much everything is dead at that point.

How did you get so many stats points ? At level 19 (end of game) my rogue had this :

Strength 32
Dexterity 36
Willpower 22
Magic 13
Cunning 27
Constitution 19

I didn't buy any books though, but it can't make that much of a difference ?

Now that you mention it, yeah that's with item bonuses, I should have stripped him before posting.

a dw war for dps purpose only need to have enough will to spam 1 whirlwind + 2 two hand sweep + having all the sustained on. a rough guess is about 250-300 stamina when u get close to lvl 20, aka u wont really need much more than lets say 25 will. cons is not so necessary either, no need for more than 20 really, personally i only have 15 on mine.

Also there is absolutely no reason to get cunning higher than 16 (11 + 5 from fade). since u dont gain bonus dmg from it like rogues with lethality, it is simply better to dump it in to Str, also no reason to have higher than 36 dex for the same reason it doesnt do jack for sword/axes.

You can ignore CON on every character, even a tank, and still easily clear nightmare if you know how to pull correctly and find some solid armor pieces. AC and def are better tanking stats.

Wait, do I need Cunning?

Not for damage but you need 16 cunning to unlock the highest persuade skill.

My DW' wars stats at 19 are:
52
36
21
13
16
15

I suppose I don't really use con or will, I use str!

Assuming you're going to pump STR...

Berserk -5 stam regen

Momentum -2 stam regen

Constraint +2 stam regen

normal combat regen +1 stam regen

Veshiale +1 stam regen

Andruil's Blessing +1 stam regen

Total -2 stam regen

Blood Frenzy -5 health regen

Resilience +1.5 health regen

Lifegiver +3 health regen

Total -0.5 health regen

Note that stam regen can be completely negated by some armors, particularly Wade's superior dragonscale set. Alternatively, there's also a decent mace that can do half the trick for another of your weapons.

Health regen is piddly as well. If you want, you can negate it (and then some) that with Rose of Thorns. Makes you swing faster as well, though I dunno how it impacts your overall DPS vs another full size weapon. We all want to dual wield Starfang afterall, right? ;)

As such, since the DW warrior can sustain all its main abilities (berserk, momentum, death frenzy) w/out much trouble at all, you shouldn't need any points in CON or WIL. You're better off maximizing damage via pumping STR.

No reason at all to raise willpower for a DW warrior or DW anything.
With +damage enchants and Momentum going, using any activated abilities is a DPS loss.
A point in strength adds more to overall damage than an extra 5 stamina from willpower.

Should I try and get my Cunning to 16 then?

And don't forget the bonus stat points you get in the Fade. You can get quite a few (5, I believe?) Cunning points there.

You get a bunch of cunning during the circle of magi part of the game so unless you started with 10 cunning you shouldn't touch it(some races start with 11 I believe and you get +5 in the tower).

For my rogue who went through the Fade tonight, I made a note of every attribute gain. I'm reasonably certain I got them all, but I don't know if it's exactly the same for warriors and mages.

5 Cunning

4 Strength & Dexterity

3 Willpower

2 Constitution & Magic

Yeah, either wait to finish the tower or do whatever you like and just download the respect mod in the project section.
