So gays would be a distraction on your crew, but not women in skin tight cameltoed high heeled catsuits. Or angry krogans in heat down in the hold. Or scary tattooed people who could kill you with their brains. Or hyperfriendly omni-sexual ships councillors. Or knowing your ship's cook also cleans your toilet.

No relationship in ME has ever started without you starting it. Your 'option' is always there.  So you'd have no way of knowing anyone was gay or not unless you talked about it. Clearly you're distracting yourself.

The thing is he's not "your Shep." Ultimately he's Bioware's Shep. Bioware allows you to make different choices, but ultimately you're playing in their playground so therefore have to play by their rules. Also, if your crew is that distracted by who someone likes to tango in the bedroom with at night, that would be a pretty crappy crew....

Actually no I don't, because romances are optional.  Maybe when that "Drop down and give me 20" dialogue option comes up for Vega, you shouldn't click it.
