Can anyone tell me what destroying the illithid amplifier actually does? Also, when I try some of the controls in the inner tunnels, either they are illusions or I get a message "a strange symbol appears". What does this do?
Thanks,

From amplifier OnUsed script...On death of the amplifier machine..
Destroy the sound associated with it.
Destroy the trigger associate with it.
Free all slaves in the area to go crazy and start
attacking everyone..
I haven't check them all, but the controls seem to be speakstring fluff. There is no OnDeath or OnUsed script associated with the ones I randomly checked so, generally, their interaction appear to be benign. On use of the amplifier machine..

I've almost felt that if you destroyed the amplifier and then returned to the surface, the slaves up there would go amok similar to those in the Grand Hall. But perhaps the amplifier was not intended to have that far-ranging of an effect? Dunno.
edit; gee, ZFR... a month later and you are still venturing in Zorvak'mur! *nudge**lol*

HipMaestro, I was always curious about this particular part of HotU... I didnr quite get what you wrote, I have just destroyed this Amplifier, does t hat mean slaves will start rebelling or fighting illithid? And out of curiosity, what does that message "unknown character appears" and those Ulithards?
