Totally agree, Mac Walters really went off the barren road with ME2. After what I've seen of ME3, I am not even considering it to be semi-realistic anymore, they might as well add magic.Blooddrunk1004 wrote...
Man i wish they would bring Drew back as lead writer for ME3.

Drew was still a lead until about halfway through ME2's development. And, for the nth time, the lead writer does not get to decide everything. Casey Hudson and Preston Watamaniuk are heavily involved in decisions involving the main plot of the games, and both of them are higher up on the dev food chain than the lead writer.

That still doesn't change the fact that ME2 story was garbage compared to ME1.
I bet if Drew was writer for ME3, we would never recieve "Cerberus being indoctrinated" plot.

Continuation of the romance arcs I think, can't remember it word for word.

EDIT: I asked how it felt to wrap up relationships and character arcs that have been building for three installments.

And you know that that was Mac Walters' idea how? Could have been Casey's or Preston's. Those two are part of coming up with the main story for the games. Before development even starts, the Lead Writer, Casey Hudson, and Preston Watamaniuk (Lead Designer) work out what the actual plot is for the game. Then the rest of the writing team gives feedback on what those three come up with.
Also: it's still not confirmed that Cerberus really is indoctrinated. We have one line from Shep in a demo level. How do you know Shep is correct? What if Shep's just assuming that because it's the obvious answer? Why has Casey been making such a big deal about how we'll be figuring out what's really going on with TIM and Cerberus if they're just giving us the answer in the demo they've been showing everywhere?

Anyway there will be a Q&A with Casey Hudson in 3 hours time, seems he will be answering more ME questions...

I thought it was a rather enlightening panel on the creative process that all Bioware writers go through and gives me, as a player, a stronger appreciation for the writing and the hard work those guys put into the games.
Yes, I rather enjoyed that panel. Really interesting

Agreed. Even though it didn't sate my lust for new ME3 info, it was interesting to hear about how things work behind the scenes.Thrombin wrote...

I fear the Casey Hudson Q&A won't be much more enlightening. The guy has a master's degree in saying things without saying things.

Again? Jeez, they should just put some time aside to do one big Q&A and be done with it.IronSabbath88 wrote...
Hmm.. so apparently there will be another Mass Effect 3 specific Q&A period at 5 PM PST. Perhaps we will see more there... and maybe the Vanguard/Infiltrator/Engineer playthroughs.. one can hope anyway.
