I've seen mods out that allows you to shapeshift into several monsters.

Does it use any scripting for this? If so, could the solution be found there?

Changing appearance type is easy with SetAppearanceType(oObject, AppearanceID, TRUE/FALSE);

Appearance ID's can be found in the APR_base 2DA.

So if you wanted your character to be able to turn into a werewolf you would run:

SetAppearanceType(oHero, 22);

But this still gives no control over the head morph and as such you will still get a bald Jaden when you set it to appearanceID 15 (human).

I would recommend just forgetting about this at the moment and ask Bioware to add a way to set a head morph. Both at character generation and after, since some ideas I've read have to do with aging characters and that would be easiest by changing head morph periodically, gradually making the character look older.

Has there been any progress on this at all? I've been looking around and this seems to be the only definitive thread on the topic. Changing the default_player is the only option. If that works, so be it but I'd rather avoid the workaround.

Edit: Maybe a more suitable workaround would be to add an additional preset to character creation at least for aesthetics.

sup guys

it's so easy, dudes. why don't you hire a follower and kick the main hero after you skipped the chargen?

UT_HireFollower(oFollower);
UT_FireFollower(GetHero(), FALSE, FALSE);

If it don't work on EVENT_TYPE_MODULE_START, try something else. Like a Trigger under ya Starpoint.

greets, Winchester.

edit: damn it's not working properly. the new defined "hero" is unable to fire some important events. without the main hero in your party you will never leave combat for example.  -.-

edit2: I got the bug fixed. It is possible to change the Main Character, but you have to hire the new character first before you fire the old one. I't not possible to do this in one script at the same time.

Have fun.
