I'm glad to be able to provide this class and the information I discovered while creating it. The interesting part is going to be creating convincing lore for the class that fits into the DA world; I'm going to have to run that sort of thing past David Gaider to get his seal of approval on it, since he's the one that wrote much of what we know about Thedas at this time.

Update: I have found and possibly squashed a bug that caused this class to not be usable with patch 1.03 and Awakening; the bug did not prevent you from importing an existing Tevinter Warden character into Awakening, or playing one that you had created under patch 1.02, but it did prevent creating new characters in 1.03. I am testing the fix now and will release an updated beta shortly; the new beta will also contain a set of 2da files that should allow the new Origin in Awakening to use the class.

Tevinter Warden Beta 2 is now available. There are now two versions of the class; one for Origins and one for Awakening, though the Awakening version is really only good for testing at this time as there is still a chargen bug that I need to squash, but I believe doing so will require a toolset update. At this time, if you download both, disable the Origins version when playing Awakening, just to make sure there are no side effects from having them both running.

Progress report: I have isolated the cause of a glitch that affects the proper display of unlocked specialization notifications; fixing this will comprise of two parts. I plan to shift the Origins specializations up to row IDs 30-42, edit
the 2da_constants, and recompile the affected scripts; this will have the positive effect of allowing a few more base classes to be added.

I am also beginning to lay the foundations of the Tevinter Warden companions that will be added to the game; they will allow proper unlocking of the class specializations.

The first new Tevinter Warden companion is going to be Willam, a female Tevinter Warden that you meet at the docks when you go to the Circle Tower; she is trying to reach someone in the Tower, but has been denied entrance by the Templars. Willam is a Hunter, the Blood Mage hunting specialization.

Got bit with a major bug while making the companions for the mod, so I'm going to be redoing the class gda files; hopefully what I'm seeing with them now means I can build it without major changes to the Bioware class data (it would be nice not to have to redo the scripts for the specializations). I also will be adding some things that I had left out of earlier versions of the class pack.

Will the Tevinter class have entirely new spells or new combinations of existing spells?

@Tenjac: this isn't the first time this has happened, but this time I've got good reason to fix the class so it doesn't overwrite a Bioware specialization.

@Tirigon: It currently has modified versions of the Primal and Creation spell lines from the Mage class; I may add new spells, but I want to get the specializations redone first as well as fixing issues with current spells.

Progress Report: after experiencing major game glitching and reinstalling both the game and toolset (had to reinstall the toolset twice?!?), I'm finally able to work on this; I found a workaround to the class template and character bug, but it's not the one I was hoping to use. I've started work on Willam the Huntress and Lanna (Fade Warrior specialization) who may be included in Beta 4 (Willam should be ready for that but Lanna may not).

New version out: Beta 4 has been uploaded to DA Nexus and will be uploaded here shortly. The highlight of this release is complete compatibility with Awakening and Golems of Amgarrak. I have also included the initial version of Quad-C; the custom class and companion core module I am working on. Quad-C will handle the scripts for my class pack as well as any dialog changes I need to make to Origins.

Okay; I'm starting to work on the Fade Warrior Specialization, as well as three new one. The new specializations will be the Battle Shifter, the Spirit Walker and the Woodsman; these specializations will have 3 talent trees each, with 2 of them only available for players over level 20. I will also be adding new talent trees for the class; these will include two-hand weapon and shield talents. I will also be creating a version of the pack (for all supported campaigns) that is compatible with Combat Tweaks, which I am now using (just started using it today, in fact).

Ok; Witch Hunt compatible version will be released tomorrow afternoon (tested it tonight) and will probably be the last version to be classified as a Beta. I am having to redo the spell scripts and relocate some files to fix compatibility issues that have been brought to my attention for this release.

Witch Hunt version released as well as an updated base release; the new version of the base contains the characters for the upcoming quest module Secrets of the Tevinter Wardens.

Update time: I plan to release a new version tomorrow that includes the basic recruitable versions of Lanna, Marric, Martin and Willam included. Martin may or may not show up, but the other three will; Lanna can be found in Lothering's Chantry, Willam will be on the docks trying to get to the Circle Tower and Martin and Marric should find their way to your camp.

Also, I'm working with Mengtzu to create a version of this class for classic Week; this will be the first version that will be released specifically for a community create module, and I would welcome working with other modders that wish for my class to work in their modules.
