Hello!

Recently I've been thinking about what combat and enemy features make for the best RPGs.

In brief, here they are:
  • Enemies gaining new abilities at higher levels, just like the player does. As opposed to a cookie cutter enemy given the same handful of abilities and tactics throughout the game and just increasing their hp and damage at higher levels.
  • Each human/elf/dwarf/etc. enemy having some randomness and variation in their appearance (wearing different bits of armor, different body size/shape).
  • Enemies dropping every single piece of armor they are wearing and every other item they might be able to use during the course of the battle.
  • Enemies dropping loot on their corpses that is actually appropriate to
what they are (eg. why would a dragon be carrying a magical sword. What
did it do, swallow a sword... Or maybe it was on its way to twinking an
alt? it would make more sense to have the dragon guarding a pile of
    shiny riches.)
  • Some random generation of enemies talents, abilities, specialisations so that in each playthrough you might find an enemy using a different ability than before. There is usually a big skill tree in RPGs with which we can build custom characters... It makes sense that the enemy should have also.
So far I've found the Flash Creatures Rescale mod, and the concept of it addresses at least one of my ideas.

Just wondering if producing a mod that can fulfill those ideas Ive listed above is beyond the scope of the toolset ... or simply too much work to be worth it as in the time it takes to complete it games that interest me might be released (Torchlight 2, Dungeon Defenders... Skyrim).
