I'm trying to get some community created content, specifically this addition of many Prestige classes that many feel would have caused NWN2 to die off far before now.

I can't seem to figure out how to make it work! I place all the files in the Override folder in My Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2, then the Dialog.tlk file in the tlk folder there, but I still see a bunch of classes that have blank names. Can anyone help me?
NWN2 hakpacks on steam version?

Beceause it's not in the TLK folder but in the NWN2 folder (for the TLK).

I don't get it. The .tlk goes in the program files for NWN instead of the My Documents for it?

no just in the NWN2 folder, the one in my document or the main one.
Both work, it's better to use the my documents one. it's the "parent" directory of the TLK directory.

Okay, only problem with that is it already has one. Do I overwrite the original tlk? What about multiple tlks from different mods? Can I use something to merge them?

use the NWN2 folder in my documents, so you won't mess with the original instalation..

Ok, I think I get it. But is there a way to merge multiple tlk files for different mods? Like one that adds races with one that adds PrCs and one that adds Base classes?

The TLK had nothing, it's just a collection of string to allow quick traduction or reference for sentence or word.
Merging custom content require more than merging the TLK. merging the TLK is really easy, it's even possible to use custom TLK that works with the original one.

Is there a tutorial somewhere to help people merge mods? Races of Faerun and the PrC pack from Kaedrin already work together, through a joint effort by the authors, but I also have a pack that adds Book of Nine Swords content I REALLY want to use.
Edit: Actually the Book of Nine Swords content is what merges easily with the PrC from Kaedrin. I think the Races of Faerun may be an issue though.

Two small problems. First off, that cites the 1.40.1a version, which apparently has a folder somewhere with cmi_something in the name. The new one doesn't have that, so the instructions for merging the PrC pack and the BoNS pack don't work. When it tells you to copy the spells to that folder, I can't find said folder, so this solution won't work...
The other problem is it doesn't solve merging Races of Faerun with this setup, though, depending on how tlk files work, that may not be a problem. If you can just copy and paste the lines of the tlk from RoF into the one from this compilation (assuming I can get it to work), then the other files shouldn't conflict, since one pack modifies races, and the other compilation modifies classes.
