I was watching the ME3 demos and I think Shepards face looks different some how. His skin look darker and look like he's beaten up or something. And why the hell does he look so sad?
Here take a look:

I never use that face anyway.

Yeah, I'd say they just improved the lighting and detail in the third game. I'm guess ME 3 Shepard is what he was always meant to look like from day one.

^for both of you:
ME3 is less than a year after ME2. So he can't be that older.
Can't be lighting because he looks like that all the time in ME3.

Looks better IMO
They improved the lighting and shadows in ME3.

If you improve the lighting in the game in general, you'll see a big difference in character models. I didn't mean the lighting in that specific picture, I meant an entirely new lighting engine for the game.

Sure they improved the quality. But he looks sad:crying: . May be he got a beating in prison. I am talking about the expression in his face. Take a look at the demos and you'll see what I mean.

He looks a bit more weathered, which would make sense due to an imminent Reaper invasion and he's on trial for delaying it. While they continue to deny, he's sitting around and they re led his ship. If you thought Shep was pissed when they lock downed the Normandy in ME1, think of the lack of sleep and rage he's building up now. That'll cause some wrinkles.

Part of the reason why I'm glad we'll be able to slightly alter imported Sheps this time around.

He doesn't look sad to me, he looks more determined.
Perhaps grim determination?

This isn't final FYI

Looks good to me. Plus we can alter that face a bit if I recall a tweet from twitter.

I usually use the default shepard because I think its iconic. But if shep ends up like that, I might have to use custom.

Or hopefully you'll be able to tweak the default just a little like we'll be able to do with imports.

Default Shep requires more botox.

I don't see much of a difference...but it pains me to hear you say he is sad. :( And are you referring darker skin, beat up, sad look to the first pic or second one? oO

They both look fine to me. I always use default. Best look there is. And imo, he looks better than ever. O-o

edit: Well, now that I have actually stared Default Shepard down, I can kinda see the sadness. :/ I don't get the beat up or darker skin though.  Not seeing that.

He is so cute! :D Now that's out of the way, I say he just looks serious. Like usual.

I was thinking he maight look a little more pale in the ME3. But I'm still gonna play Default Shepard.

Do explain more pl0x?

*Hugs Shepard* He does look sad. Everyone forgets about Shepard and zooms in on Kaidan, Tali, Miranda and blah blah blah. Shepard is the one saving the universe and is the epic trademark of ME. He needs to be given more love.

You saw his face in gameplay videos. The only difference is improved lightning, his face still looks the same. Judging from one picture and considering game is 7 months away i dont see why are you freaking out.

Maybe you are right. Having that kind of responsibility must be very stressful. He just needs a hug.:)
