*Hug* :D That was, what? His fourth hug so far via this thread? I wonder how he is doing. ^_^

But I agree with Kleetor. He needs more recognition. It's always Tali this, and Tali that.

Fighting in a war can age a young man into an old one in no time.

Man... Let Shepard have a bad hair day once! I swear. People expect him to look exemplary! :P

You'd be tired too if you had spent five years trying to convince people that giant sentient starships were going to try to kill us all and almost nobody believed you, being dead, being cyborged, etc.

Definitely the stress of fighting battles starting to take their toll. An awful lot like how U.S. Presidents appear to age 10 years in just 4.

Just seems to be different lighting. Honestly the first thing that came to my mind was "What's ME2 Sheperd looking at?"

He now looks like an alcoholic who hasn't properly slept for a few days and who decided to try an eyeliner.  He's getting further and further from his original facemodel while Shep ain't that old to look so bad

Modified textures and whatnot. No real reason. Also recall that this isn't the final version as the game is still being worked on.

It's just lighting. If you look at the versions of those images with Garrus, he looks pretty different as well. ME2's lighting was super high-contrast, casting very dark shadows on certain parts of the model. ME3's lighting is more natural.

As for me it's the same Sheploo...

A good word for it might be that he looks more 'weathered' in appearance. He definitely does not look as shiny and smooth-featured as Vanderloo. I'm sure it is a perception thing -- trying to make him look more rugged.

I think it's either new lighting or new designer trend in ME3. Kaidan also look older than in ME2

I think the only reason he looks beaten up is due to the renegade scaring.

He's also witnessed the worst atrocities in the history of human civilization, I think he has a right to look a bit sad at species being wiped out left right and center.

As other have said, a combination of the lighting and Shepard's stress finally showing through, and maybe new textures. I think I like him better this way.

Of course that's the boring answer. You could say that Cerberus is screwing with Shepard and causing him to grow older/degenerate since they're now against him. Conspiracy theories are fun.

His beard stands out more for some reason. Too bad I never use him!

He looks better to me. Maybe he's more stressed. I use that face for my soldier.

There are a few minute changes done to Shep's face around the eyes (made them a teeny bit rounder) and a few light alterations to the nose and lips. That said, I kinda like the look.

I don't get it; he looks better in 3 than 2. Whats the problem here?

If that is the default sheploo face it appears that they have changed his face proportions very slightly, Longer Face etc.

Yeah, he does look a bit different. I guess (as others have mentioned), it's down to all the stress. I bet Shepard is looking forward to a holiday when he has saved the Galaxy (again). He's also looking a bit 'pasty' compared to his 'bronzed' face in ME2. I guess there isn't much sunlight in space. A couple of hours on a sunbed will do the trick!

I noticed Shepard seems to like 'eyeliner' too! It'd be funny if you go into Shepard's quarters on the Normandy in ME3, and you see a 'make-up' bag next to the mirror!

He doesn't have a beard. But you wouldn't know that since you never use him. :P  *rolls eyes*

I still don't see hardly a difference. lol... Looks equally just as good in the 3 as he is in the 2. Either way, Default Shep will still be my man!

He just needs a bath and a shave and he's ready to go and kick some Reaper butt.
But you don't get to use the shower if you play as Sheploo and can't romance Garrus.
