I have to agree, I like the ME3 look. The ME2 lighting is much more flattering, but warm tones usually are. But recalling what I saw in the demo, his face is much more expressive and less... that FACE Sheploo always makes. He gets this vacant, haunting look at times that's kept me from ever playing him.

It's more realistic if Shepard looked older. With all the stuff he's been through.
I have a friend who had a hard time and in one month he lost a lot of weight and was all wrinkled. He looked like a walking corpse. So I don't see what the problem is with Shepard looking older.
He's not going to skip around all smiles and rainbows with a chiseled face and no worries.

Seeing the two of them, I think the ME3 one looks more like a person and the other more like a drawing. You also have to take into account the ME3 is a rather bad pic because he's got that dumb, vacant stare whereas the ME2 is looking at something, so he looks less dumb.

Agree with this. He looks this bad in the pic and in all ME 3 videos so far. I just hope its not his final look cuz at the moment it sucks.

Looks like default Sheploo sliders, but with more detail and thus more realistic.
So basically, the same situation as with the transition from ME to ME2 - that's all good, IMO.
On a related tangent, I'm really wondering how such updates are going to look for all the other slider settings - for example, my FemShep looks pretty neat in ME, but even better in ME2. Here's hoping the translation to ME3 works the same magic on her fizzog!
