I was wondering to myself earlier if Kelly could potentially mess up any romances in ME3. In my final playthrough for my main Shepard, I remained loyal to Ashley. I read she doesn't in Mass Effect 2 (the picture of the LI remains up if she is called to your room after beating the game) but could that bring up issues in ME3? Thoughts?

No it won't. Ashley/Kaidan will be bisexual and so will Kelly. The "Let's have a threesome" option will finally work.

I think one of the devs states that the fact that she dances for you, or that you had some sort of relationship in general is definitely in your save files, but they wouldn't comment further.
I never romanced Kelly- never was one for redheads myself- but I'm hoping she gets upgraded to a 'real' romance in part 3. Her psychoanalysing her romantic opponent would be hilarious.

I really want Ashley in ME3, and I only did the dinner scene with Kelly so she cleans the fish tank. I forget the damn things when I go on missions...

I only romanced her on single femshep profiles,though I did do one with Liara romanced and no mention of it came,I think the only consequences will be with her in ME3 maybe she treats you differently or something to that effect

I doubt it. None of the other LIs bother mentioning Kelly. So I don't see why Ashley and Kaidan would.

Im sure i read that kelly was just a bonus for those characters who never romanced anyone in ME2 and wouldnt affect any romances in ME3 if you stayed faithful to your ME1 LI.

I'll just tell Liara the truth. I care nothing for Kelly, I just needed someone to feed my fish! But seriously since neither the fling with Kelly nor the little thing with Samara counts as romance, I'd be surprised if this is even mentioned once. It sure won't become a deal in ME3.
