Omega is a major part of ME2 and by extension ME3.  Whether the player kept the base or not the illusive man will need a logistical staging platform.   And if the events from Mass Effect: Invasion are any clue at all TIM send operatives through the relay to either the collector base or it's wreckage and they get indoctrinated.  We know from the book Mass effect: Retribution Cerberus ops killed Aria's daughter framing Grayson and used assistance in locating him as a bargaining chip with Aria.

This uneasy alliance will be tested by the indoctrinated/infected Cerberus ops or an autopsy coming back showing Liselle was drugged.  A drug analysis and trace leading back to the sources could make Aria suspicious of a setup by TIM.  Any questioning towards TIM could have led to the indoctrinated/infected Cerberus ops intentional or it was just a Cerberus blunder.  Either way Aria's response to TiM would be the same nullifying the arrangement.  These events setup up what could serve as a Catalyst for Aria's downfall as the gangs target a distracted Aria.

Aria upon finding out the abominations are in fact infested/indoctrinated humans would contact Shepard.  Aria had info that the Collectors would attack the human colonies, for reasons unknown she decided not to act upon it.  As a result the enemy is at her doorstep I think that's bad for business and Aria doesn't like things that are bad for business.  That alone could serve as her motivation to join with Shepard to stop the threat, but a couple more exist.  Aria aware of TIM's involvement in Liselle's death would want to become a crew member under the guise of stopping the threat.  Her real motives would be to get TIM and accessing Cerberus info which I imagine Shepard giving her just as easily as he did Jack.

I imagine Aria as a disruptive force on the ship with only two people who could relate to her, Shepard and Jack.  She'd have conflict with everyone else I even see Aria firing on Miranda for just annoying her.  Shepard would step in, I mean actually step in hand to hand holding his flashlight dagger to her throat while setting her straight.  Aria forever the schemer will appear to take his threat seriously and bid her time.  Given she doesn't destroy what she can use i.e. Patriarch I imagine her trying the same with Shepard.  And given that Patriarch found a special place in her heart I can see Shepard doing the same.  Can you see Aria being angered and embarrassed at having slipped up by publicly expressing concern for Shepard ?  I can see Shepard grinning already.

edit
If BW is serious when they say ME3 will tie up all the loose ends then Aria is a lock for ME3, how much we will get of her is in question.  If they were just hyping the game all bets are off.  I think they might also be concerned with her coming across as a villian as she will be conniving.  But who knows she could show shepard a different side.

I like how fierce she looks in this pic but something about it bugged me, when I thought about it I figured it out.  Aria doesn't strike me as the type to only use her biotics, I imagine she'd use any available weapons lots of weapons as well.

This picture is amazing!

I think the use of biotics suits her because she's obviously rageful and when emotions take over like that then I would imagine biotics flaring in rage as well.

An assault rifle going berserk in her hands would look completely OK amidst all that biotic rage.

This reminds me, I wrote a cool Vanguard build for Aria a while back.

Weapon proficiencies

  • Shotguns
  • Assault Rifles
Powers
  • Incendiary Ammo
  • Warp
  • Carnage
  • Strobe Grenade
  • Asari Mastermind
Carnage returns from ME1 for a one-shot explosive buff to shotguns. Strobe Grenade is a disorienting light show tossed right into enemy turf, a crowd disabler akin to Kasumi's Flashbang, but instead of stumbling and overloading, impairing accuracy and movement speed. Also affects friendlies, so proper placement of the strobe is a crucial debuff to a cluster of enemies that otherwise may have complicated the kill on an isolated target. Asari Mastermind is the passive, improving weapon damage and health similar to Zaeed's passive.

Not a tank. May be too durable. May also be too light on biotics.

Another biotic idea is Beam, a bendable biotic laser that violently levitates and pushes the first targeted enemy into a second targeted enemy. Improvements possible to force, allowing better knockdown and damage,
and duration, allowing more distant targeting.

Building on my concept for Aria, maybe her equivalent for charge could simply be speedier movement. Increased agility for a more effective rushing assault. Her AI could prefer storming over covering. To encourage aggressive tactical gambles, she could gain a temporary damage bonus or barrier replenish upon every kill.

I agree it just seem so typical that an asari always falls back on just biotics a smart one would use everything at her disposal.  Aria is suppose to be a smart one.

You definately needs some biotic powers in their but I saw leave the rest Aria should be that strong to run omega.  Overall I imagine her quick, durable, smart and powerful.

I think Aria's charge should hit multiple targets, just a matter of BW programming it correctly i.e. no bugs.

I hope Aria kills TIM. Or maybe Jack. Both would be epic and both have every reason to kill him (I play super paragon BTW.)

I would like to see Aria a squadmate - she would be actualy first realistic Asari character - not exalted nor exaggerated.

Its sweat. If you look, she's got it over her head and cheek too. I imagine the idea was the struggle to keep whatever biotics she has going.

If she does become a squad member, I hope we can romance her - I always had a bit of a thing for her.

Has anyone thought that Aria might have a slightly different motivation to romance Shepard?

[SPOILERS!!!]
We know (from Retribution) that Aria had a daughter (Liselle). The novel gave the impression that Liselle was about 150 years old so Aria must have been at least 800 when she had her. Thats why I don't think that Aria had her accidentally. Maybe she wanted to leave something behind when she finally dies... Anyway, now Liselle is dead and Aria could be looking for a dad for her future child. She probably thinks that Shepard is the biggest badass in the Galaxy so Shepard might be the best candidate. Afrer all, Shepard killed Saren, collectors and a huge pile of mercenaries...

its possible, i like this theory, but for me Aria not is happy for the and of Liselle, and its sure she is
determinate to kill the killer of Liselle.

I'm liking the comic covers. Surely Aria will nurse that moment of vulnerability, watching Omega explode, into a fury like we've never seen from her before.

Aria fans, check this out-

Saw that^ and loved it.

I think Aria would lean more toward a mate that she could control, Shepard definitely isn't that but could be interesting especially if she tried to kill Shepard after the DNA randomisation.

I can't see Aria wanting to have a mate anymore especially after what happened to her daughter. She seems to be out for revenge and trying to have children is kind of counter productive to going on a blood fueled rage.

I support! One of my favourite ME2 moments was when she gets you these tiny bits of information about her past then breaks it off with "Better luck next time", which (probably) means she was the asari that Wrex was talking about in his merc adventures. In that instant she reached a whole new level of awesome.

Not sure actually.  He doesn't look like anything the pic on ME Wikia has for Kai Leng.  But that pic could be concept art and DH Comics has a bad habit of making characters not look like they should.
